He was born September 24, 1935, to C.O. and Juanita Brakebill Payne. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Shady Grove Cemetery, near Lake Nocona. Arrangements are under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Toye Ruth Hicks); two daughters, Julie Billings and Connie Daniel; three sisters, Patsy Rogers and Nancy Robinson, both of Wichita Falls, and Thelma Jackson of Haltom City; and a twin brother, Lawrence of Wichita Falls; and five grandchildren. NOCONA -- Mary Barker, 90, of Nocona died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, in Nocona. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Shady Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Chuck Schobert officiating. Survivors include four sons, Kenny of Colton, Calif., Denny and Gene, both of Las Vegas, Nev., and Marl of Nocona; two daughters, Martha McArthur of Turner, Ore., and Maxine Mathews of Las Vegas, Nev.; 29 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. NOCONA - Joe W. Elliott, 65, of Nocona died Thursday, May 31, 2001, in Denton, Texas. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Nocona Hills Community Church with the Rev. Lee Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Lola; a daughter, Angela Elliott Fulton of Sanger, Texas; and two grandchildren. NOCONA - Donnie Ray Orrell, 67, of Nocona died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in Nocona. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Nocona, with the Rev. Lee Lucas, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Chambers (Crain); three daughters, Debbie Smith of Nocona, Beckie Gammons of Sachse, Texas, and Denise Mitchell of Winnesboro, Texas; a sister, Betty Boyles of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
