All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** BROWN or SHEPPARD PLACE CEMETERY MORRIS COUNTY, TEXAS LOCATION: On the old Sheppard place on CR 2315 northwest of Naples. These are blacks who were supposed to have been servants of the Sheppards. They are located inside the Vissering dipping vat corral about 70 yards east of the Senator Morris Sheppard Birthplace historical marker. This is on fenced, private property. This cemetery is known to be predominantly black. Cemetery was read Apr 3, 1999 by Pat Tomberlain. There are only two marked graves in this small cemetery.
