C. F. Mason joined by his wife Mary L. Mason of the County of Morris State of Texas in Consideration of the Sum of Four hundred Dollars paid and Secured to be paid by J. T. Barfield of Morris County Texas as follows Cash in hand have granted Sold and Conveyed and by these presents Do grant Sell and Convey unto the Said J. T. Barfield of the County of Morris and State of Texas all of our intire [sic] interest in and to the herein after Described tracts of land Which interest is the Separate property of the Wife of the Same being her one child's interest in her father's Estate, there being four Children Which lands are Described as follows to wit two hundred and five acres in Morris County Texas and four Hundred and one acre in the State of Georgia, Texas lands Described as follows Situated in Morris County Texas the Same being a part of the E. D. West head Right Survey Beginning at the NE Corner of the land to be Described Which is the N.E. Corner of the Whole Blanton tract of land and is also the S.E. Corner of A. Hargis land at a Stake from Which a pine 4 inches in Dia. brs N 76 0/" vrs thence South a long the West line of C. Calloway's line 194 Rods to a Stake from which a Red Oak brs N 12 0/" W 5 vrs thence West 164-46/100 Rods a Stake from which a Red oak brs N 2 1/0 E 17-1/4 vrs also a hickory brs N 41 0/1 W 2-1/2 vrs off Both Marked X Thence North 194 Rods to a Stake from which a Red oak brs S. 41 0/1 E 7 vrs another brs S 24 0/1 W 5-1/2 vrs off Both Marked X thence East 164-90/100 Rods to place of Beginning Containing 200 acres of land / Another tract of 2-1/2 acres more or less of the Edwast Survey Described as follows Beginning at a Corner on the N ?? line of the S. M???? Survey a Stake thence N 33 yards to the Daingerfield & Jefferson public Road thence in a westerly Direction with Said Road 171 yds a Stake thence S 114 yds to the N Bo. line of the S. M????? Survey thence East with Said Mercers? N Bo. line to place of Beginning / another tract of 2-1/2 acres more or less of the Sarah Mercer? head Right Survey in Morris Co Tex Beginning at a post oak on the N. Bo. line of the Said Sarah Mercer Survey Marked X thence West 250 vrs to the Daingerfield & Jefferson Road thence in an Eastern Direction 240 vrs a long with Said Road to a Stake at Corner of Rice Orchard fence by the road side thence in a Northerly Direction with Said Orchard fence 120 vrs to of Beginning. The Georgia land is Situated in Jones Co Ga and is Distinguished as lot no. one hundred and Seventy four and a fractionaly [sic] portion of lot no. one hundred and ninty one Containing in all of the Georgia land four hundred and one half acres and for a more Definate Description see Deed Records of Jones County Ga Book T page 548. To have and to hold the above Described premises togeather with all and Singular the Right and appurtenances thereto in any wise Belonging unto the said J. T. Barfield his hairs [sic] and assigns forever and we do heareby Bind our Selves our hairs Executors and administrators to Warrant and Forever Defend all and Singular the Said premises unto the said J. T. Barfield his hairs and assigns against any person whomsoever lawfully Claiming or to Claim the same or any part thereof When this Deed shall Become absolute. Ragland, County Clk of the County Court in and for Morris County Texas on this Day personally appeared Mrs. Mary L. Mason Wife of I. C. F. Mason known to me to be the person Whose name is Subscribed to the Foregoing instrument and having been Examined by me privily and apart from her husband and having the Same fully Explained to her She the Said Mrs. Mary L. Mason acknowledged Such instrument to be her act and Deed and Declares that She had Willingly Signed the Same for the purposes and Considerations therein Expressed and that She Did not wish to Retract it.
