Cason, prominent citizen of Cason, died at his home in that city last Thursday night at 10:30 o'clock from an attack of acute indigestion. Mr. Cason was sick less than an hour, having been stricken about 9:20 o'clock. He had been in his usual good health during the day and up until he became ill a short time before his death. Mr. Cason was reared in the Snow Hill community, 7 miles north west of Daingerfield, and had been a resident of Morris county all of his life with the exception of a short residence in Mt. Pleasant and a year or two in West Texas. At the time of his death he was nearly 65 years old, and was recognized as one of the county's best and most influential citizens. Deceased is survived by his wife and five children..one boy and four girls, as follows; Shepard Cason, of Cason; Mrs. Ella Anderson, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Mura Jernigan, Greenville; Mrs. Emma Talley, Mt. Pleasant; and a small baby about a year old. Also one brother, R. L. Cason, of Daingerfield. The remains were laid to rest in the Snow Hill cemetery, 7 miles northwest of Daingerfield, last Friday afternoon in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends of the deceased. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. D. McClung, pastor of the Baptist church of Cason. ---
