All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Henry Clark, 76, Succumbs After Length Illness 1936 Morris County lost a highly respected citizen Friday with the passing of T. H. (Henry) Clark, 76, who died at 2 p.m. at his home south of Daingerfield. He had been in failing health the past two years, his fatal illness claiming him two weeks ago. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Clark's cemetery, the family burial ground, five miles south of town by Rev. J. L. McAdams, Methodist pastor of Waskom and beloved friend of the deceased, and Rev. J. W. Reeder, of Hughes Springs, nephew of Mr. Clark. A resident in and around Daingerfield since the age of five, Mr. Clark was well known in this section, having served as county commissioner and justice of the peace for several terms during his active years. He was born in Monticello, Ga., moving to Texas in 1865. Mr. Clark had been a member of the Jenkins Methodist Church for many, many years. Surviving are his wife and fice children, Mrs. R. E. Vaughan, Mrs. J. E. Gaddis Jr. and J. C. Clark of Daingerfield, L. D. Clark of Waco and W. S. Clark of Burkville, all of whom were here to attend the funeral. There remain also two sisters, Mrs. Sally Everett of Hughes Springs and Mrs. Katie Stephenson of Daingerfield and a number of grandchildren.
