Cook of the Iron Bluff community was fatally injured last Wednesday morning when he fell from the roof of his barn. He died Monday night. Mr. Cook was covering the barn when he fell head first about eight feet, sustaining a double skull fracture. He was carried to a Shreveport hospital Thursday afternoon for an operation, but he never regained consciousness. Funeral services were held at Iron Bluff at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. A. A. Rider, Methodist pastor of the Daingerfield church, in charge. Mr. Cook was born 52 years ago in Mississippi, moving to Lee County, Texas in 1899. He moved to Morris County in 1901. Surviving are his wife and three children, Mrs. O. Z. Reed, Miss Durene, a senior in Daingerfield High School, and Harold; two brothers, J. E. & Douglass Cook of the Jenkins community; one sister, Mrs. John Precise of Cason; an aunt Mrs. Susan Tennington of Jenkins, and a grandchild. ---
