Judge Floyd, aged 45, died very suddenly at his home in Cason Monday night. When Mr. Floyd retired he was in his usual good health, and was found dead in hed Tuesday morning at 5 o'clock by members of his family. Rev. Floyd had been suffering for some time with brights disease but heart trouble is said to have been the direct cause of his death. Deceased was reared in Cason but for the past several years had resided in West Texas and Oklahoma where he had been engaged in evangelistic work as a Baptist minister, returning to Cason on a short time ago. He is survived by his wife, two sons Charley Warner, and F. J. and a daughter, Rose Mary. Also one brother, B. B., of Cason, and two sisters, Mrs. Warner Loomis of Kelleyville, and Mrs. L. L. Bicknell of Cason. The body was laid to rest in the Blevins cemetery, 2 miles north of Cason yesterday afternoon, funeral services being conducted by Rev. John McClung, Baptist minister of Mt. Pleasant.
