Wardlow's Untimely Death January 30, 1936 The untimely death Monday night of J. W. Wardlow at his home in Cason was a sorrowful shock to family and friends. He had been in failing health for a long period. Monday's tragedy ending for him suffering caused by a long siege of influenza. Funeral services were held at the Cason Baptist Church Wednesday morning. Mr. Wardlow was a merchant at Cason, having a successful business there. With his wife he leaves one step-daughter, Mrs. Mabel Watkins, of Cason, four sisters and three brothers, as follows: Mrs. O. P. Jones, Amarillo; Mrs. J. J. Cason, Mrs. Mollie Evans, O. E. and D. T. Wardlow, Cason; Mrs. W. I. Allison Gladewater, and John Wardlow, Pittsburg.
