WARDLOW RITES WEDNESDAY AT CASON CHURCH O E (Geniboy) Wardlow, 87, native of Morris County, who had lived in five counties and never moved, died at his home in Cason Tuesday. Last rites were held Wednesday at the Cason Methodist Church with the Revs John Barfield, Lonnie Gruver and J W Reeder, clergymen. Mr. Wardlow could claim residence in the 5 counties, yet never moving as Cason has been a part of Red River, Paschal, Bowie and Titus counties before the last division made it Morris county. He was a retired carpenter and was well known as an old time fiddler and had judged several years at Gilmer’s annual Jamboree fiddling contest. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Childree Wardlow, of Cason; 2 sons, Pete and Jimmy Wardlow of Cason; two daughters, Mrs. H E Edwards, Cason and Mrs. C D Plummer, Hearne; a sister, Mrs. W I Allison, Cason; and one brother John Wardlow of Pittsburg; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lottie Montgomery was organist for the rites and pallbearers were Dud White, Noel Gibson, John Monkhouse, Russell Lee Edwards, Jim White and Ezra Finch.
