According to the news reaching the Times from Marshall, the accident occured about twenty-three miles from that place at 3:00 o'clock Wednesday morning, on the highway between Marshall and Longview. The crash is said to have happened when the car in which the three young people were riding was swerved in attempt to miss a cow that had strayed out onto the road. It is also said that almost every bone in her body was broken. Injuries to the other occupants of the automobile consisted mostly of minor cuts and bruises about the head and body of each. The body of Miss Young reached Mt. Pleasant about nine o'clock Wednesday morning and was taken to Thomas funeral parlor. From there it was taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Everette Redfearn.
