Guy Lewis Pruett passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010. Beloved husband of 
Juanita Jones Pruett after 63 years of marriage. Loving father of Karen P. 
Plauche (and husband, Richard Sr.), Karla P. Amacker (and husband, Keith) and 
Gary Lewis Pruett (and wife, Kimberly). Devoted grandfather of Adam, Amy, 
Kurt, Elise. Jordyn, Maggie and Peyton. Proud great-grandfather of Cameron and 
Caden. Brother of the late Willis G. Pruett and Clara Woodward. Son of the 
late Martha Garrison and James Lewis Pruett. Aged 88 years. A native of 
Garrison, Texas and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 42 years. 
Mr. Pruett was a United States Coast Guard Veteran of WWII, a retired cost 
analyst with Freeport McMoran after 40 years of service, a member of John 
Calvin Presbyterian Church. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. 
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services 
from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Monday 
afternoon August 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Garden of Memories 
Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of 
flowers, donations may be made to John Calvin Presbyterian Church 4201 
Transcontinental Dr. Metairie, Louisiana 70006. Online guest registry
