O.J. Butler to G.W. Cook & wife

Know all men by these presents that I, O.J. Butler, of county of Navarro, in
consideration of Five Hundred dollars to me in hand paid G.W. Cook and the
further consideration of his promissory note of even date herewith for Seven
Hundres ($750) bearing 12% inst from date and due Oct 30, 1891.

All that certain tract or parcel of land lying & situated in Navarro Conty,
state of Texas aabout 15 miles west from Corsicana on the waters of Post Oak
creek and a part  of 640 acre survey granted to Henry Coo, assignee of Claiborne
Jarrell in to wit:

Beginning at the NW corner of said survey Thence S 30 E 594 1/4 vars to a stake
in the South bank of the East prong of Post Oak Creek from which an ash 12 in
dia brs S50 W 3 vars another Ash 8 in dia brs N50 E 4 vars.
Thence N 60 E 950 vars to a Rock
Thence N 30 W 594 1/2 vars to a stake in north line of said survey.
Thence S60 W with said line 950 vars to the beginning containig one hundred
acres of land.

The vendors lien is especially returned to secure the payment of the note herein
referred to.
