Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth Edwards of county and state aforesaid, for the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by R. Hightower. On waters of Richland Creek about 18 1/2 miles from Corsicana, known as the Ellis K. Morrell survey Beginning on W line of W. N.Haynes thence to SW corner of Ellis K. Morrell survey, ...to R. Hightower's NW corner, Also 40 acres of the E. Ramirez survey being south and adjoining the Ellis K. Morrell survey 31 Mar 1880 T.R. Edwards Elizabeth Edwards County of Van Zandt County T.R. Edwards and wife Elizabeth sign under oath. Elizabeth is examined separately. Filed for Record in my office at 10 o'clock A.M. April 13, 1880 and duly recorded at 9 o'clock A.M. April 14, 1880. in Vol 35 page 372 of the Navarro County Records. S.H. Kerr *Note this land was deeded to Rolley Hightower's daughter, Lydia Grimes on Dec 30, 1899. ========== Navarro County Vol 54 pg 32 Know all men by these presents: That Mr. Thomas Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth Edwards, who was a daughter of Barnett Hollingsworth of county of VanZandt in consideration of the sum of Fifty two dollars to us in hand paid by R. Hightower, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have granted, sold, and conveyed to R. Hightower of Navarro County all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County of Navarro and State of Texas and being a part of the E.K. Morrell and Edward Rameriz surveys more particularly described as follows to wit: Commencing at the NW corner of a tract of land now belonging to said R. Hightower bought by him from W.N. Haynes off of the said surveys. Thence North 30 West 74 vars Thence North 60 East thirteen hundred and thirty fou4 varas to the Grimes Surveys. Thence South 30 East sevety four vars to lands of Bill PERCIVAL, known as J.G. Way land and being a part of the Rameriz sold off by Barnett Hollingsworth.
