For and in consideration of the Natural love and
affection we have for our son, F.M. Grimes, Jr. we
have this day given, granted, and conveyed and do by
these presents give, grant, and convey:

Field Notes:
A certain tract of land lying 15 miles southwest of
the town of Corsicana on the waters of Post Oak Creek
and is a part of a survey of fourteen 105,000/1000,000
labors of land granted to us by the Sate of Texas on
the 4th day of August, 1846 and is bounded as follows:

Beginning in the East boundary line of said survey a
stake from which a mesquite marked F bears N61 E 3 1/2
varas another Mesquite 20 inches in dia marked X bears
S16 E 16 varas.

Thence S60 W 1300 vrs to stake. Thence N30 W 660 varas
to a stake. Thence N 60 E. 1300 varas to a stake in
said East bounded line. Thence S30 E with said line
660 vrs to the beginning, containing one hundred and
fifty two acres.

To have and to hold unto him the said F.M. Grimes his
heirs and assigns forever and we the said F.M. Grimes
and E.S. Grimes do give and convey all the right title
and interest we have in and to the foregoing described
tract or parcel of land in testimony whereof we have
hereunto set our hands and affixed our scrolls for
seals this the 31st day of August 1875.

Additional Comments:
Over the years, they gave each of their children 152 acres of this land in
Navarro County.
