Hightower, of the county and state aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars to us in hand paid by Andrew Hanson of the County of Hill and State aforesaid the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have this day bargained, sold aliened conveyed and transferred and do by these presents bargain, sell alien and transfer unto the said Andrew Hanson the following lot or parcel of land situated lying and being in the county of Navarro on the waters of Richland Creek and about eighteen and one half miles S.W. from Corsicana and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning N30 W 3250 vrs and S60 W200 vrs from the NE corner of Wm Bryants 320 acre survey at a stake from which a mesquite 12 in dia brs S25 W118 vrs Thence S60 W800 vrs a stake from which a mesquite 6 in dia brs N60 E 174 varas. Thence S30 W1129 vrs a stake from which a mesquite 7 in da brs N20 W37 vrs do 6 in dam brs N45W35 vrs Thence N60 E800 vrs a stake from which a mesquite 8 in dia vrs S11W53 1/2 vrs Thence S30 E 1129 vrs to the place of beginning supposed to be one hudnred and sixty acres of land be the same more or less. It being one half of the headright of Ellis K. Morrell and we do her3eby bind ourselves our heirs executors, Administrators or assigns to warrant and forever defend the title unto the said Andrew Hanson. his heirs or assigns forever unto his own use and benefit free from the claim or claims of any and all persons claiming the same or any part thereof this the 30th day of January A.D. 1864.
