Lubbock, Governor of the state aforesaid by virtue of the power vested in me by Law and in accordance with the laws of said state in such case made and provided do by these presents grant to the Heirs of Ellis K. Morrell, dec'd their heirs or assigns forever, One Hundred and Sixty acres of land situated and described as follows: In Navarro County on the waters of Richland Creek and about 18 1/2 miles SW from Corsicana by virtue of Mercer's Colony Certificate No 0/42 issued by the Clerk of the District Court of said county on the 14th day of April 1857. Beginning N30 W 3250 vars and S60 W 1200 vars from the N.E. corner of Wm Bryant's 320 acre survey a stake form which a mesquite 12 in dai br S25 W188 vars Thence S60 W 800 vars a stake from which a Mesquite in dai brs N60 E 174 vars Thence N30 W 1129 vars a stake from which a mesquite 7 in dia brs N 29 1/2 W 3 vars a di t ub dua brs N115 W 35 vars Thence N 60 E 800 vars a stake from which a Mes 8 in dia brs W11 W 53 1/2 vars Thence S 30 E 112 vars to the beginning. Hereby relinquishing to them the said Heirs of Ellis K. Morrell, dec'd and their heirs or assigns forever all the right and title in and to said land, heretofore held and possessed by the said State and I do hereby issue this letter patent for the same. In Testimony whereof, I have caused the seal of the state to be affixed as well as the seal of the General Land Office Done at the City of Austin on the tenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two.
