In the name of the State of Texas. To all to whom these presents shall come. Know ye I, Alfert C. Norton, Governor of the State aforesaid by virtue of the power vested in me by Law, and in accordance with the Laws of said state in such case made and provided do by these presents grant to FREDERICK GRIMES and his heirs or assigns forever Fourtheen 105000/1000000 Labors of land situated and described as follows: In Robertson County W of Trinity on the water of Richland Beginning at a stake from which a Post Oak 7 in dia brs M 19 1/2 E 5 7/10 varas, another 6 in dia brs S80 E 9 7/10 vars NW corner of a survey for Prewitt. Running N 30 W sixty Three Hundred & Four Varas to a stake from which a mesquite 8: in dia brs N 3 1/2 E 26 varas another 6 in dia brs S 18 1/2 W 61 1/4 varas. Thence North 60 East Thirty Three Hundred & Thirty Three & 2/10 vrs to stake from which a Mesquite 2 1/2 in dia brs S78 W 7 vrs another 10 in dia brs N62 1/2 E 14/14 vr. Thence S30 E. Thirty Three Hundred & Thirty Three & 2/10 varas in the N. Boundary line of a survey for John Florence. Thence S 60 W cross Post Oak Creek Four Hundred & Thirty Five varas with Florences & J.M. Prices line in all Twenty Two Hundred & Twenty One varas to a stake from whcih a Plum tree 5 in dia brs S57 E 62 varas a Hackberry 10 In in dia S47 W 9 vr. Thence S30 W. Nineteen Hundres varas to astake from which a Pin Oak 10 in dia brs N25 E 12 varas a Post Oak 15 in dia brs S61 W 80 varas to the W boundary of a survey for Jesse Birtrale. Thence S60 W 274 varas to a stake from which a Post Oak 22 in in dai brs N 44 W 21 varas a Mesquite 6 in dia bears S30E One Thousand & Seventy One varas to a stake from which a Post Oak 15 in dia brs. N 76 E 17 varas another 20 in dia brs N64 W 35 vrs SW Corner of s'd Birtrale survey Thence South 60 w Eight Hundred & Thirty Eight varas to the place of Beginning. Hereby relinquishing to him the said Frederick Grimes and his heirs or assigns forever all the right and title in and to said land heretofore held and possessed by the said State and I do hereby issue this Letter Patent for the same. In testimony whereof I have caused the Seal of the State to be affixed as well as the Seal of the General Land Office done at the City of Austin on the Twenty Fourth day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Six.
