Armstrong Monday. Mrs. J.C. Armstrong was born in Benton County, Arkansas April 22, 1859, died at the home of her son in the Emhouse community Sunday morning at nine o'clock. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the First Baptist Church of which Mrs. Armstrong had been a faithful member for many years. Rev. W.O. Patterson, pastor of the First Baptist Church assisted by Rev. Rawlins Cherryhomes, pator of the Christian church, conducted the rites. Surviving are five sons, L.W. Armstrong, Emhouse; Mose Armstrong, Corsicana; Pruitt, Sol and Jack Armstrong, Blooming Grove; 3 daughters, Mrs. G.P. Wilson, Barry; Mrs. J.A. Harrington, Crosbyton, and Mrs. Earl Stokes, Five points; a sister, Mrs. C.D. Idlett, Blooming Grove, a brother, W.M. Ritter, Negley; 33 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Grandsons were pallbearers. Interment was made in the Grange Hall Cemetery.
