May 16 Funeral services for Everett Eugene Hobbs, 74 of Rice, retired farmer who died in an Ennis hospital, were held from the Rice Methodist Church. Burial was in the Rice Cemetery. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Russell Hobbs, Ennis, and Everett Cleo Hobbs, Waxahachie; two daughters, Mrs. L.C. Jones, Fort Worth and Mrs. L.S. Ballard, Jr. Dallas; five grandchildren; a brother, W.E. Hobbs, Raymondville, and four sisters, Mrs. T.W. Neal, Fort Worth Mrs. Homer Cassels, Rice: Mrs. Manco Cassels, Ferris and Mrs. M.E. Medford, Wichita Falls Additional Comments: Son of Virginia Brewer and J.W.
