Lorenzo D. Powell, died Oct, 15, 1860, at his residence in Navarro county. His
family has lost a kind and provident protector; the church a good Christian;
the community a good neighbor. He leaves a widow and six children to mourn his
untimely death. L. D. Powell professed religion in his 19th year, and been a
consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He was in his 39th year
