A. Rakestraw, an old and highly respected citizen of Navarro County, died at his home near Angus, at the age of 87 years. He had been a resident of this county for more than fifty years, and prior to coming here lived at Fairfield, Fredonia County. His surviving children are Mrs. C. W. Jester of Corsicana, Mrs. S. J. Clay of Uvalde County, Mrs. Lynn Davis of Corsicana, Mrs. Lem Starley of Tyler and Mrs. Farley, who made her home with him, and Albert Rakestraw, a son.
