The Blooming Grove Times
Mrs. J.B. Shaw died Tuesday.[Mar 25 1928]  Mrs. Bertha Shaw, aged sixty-hree
years wife of J.B. Shaw, died at their home in Frost, Tuesday morning at 4
o'clock as the result of pneumonia which started as influenza a week ago. The
funeral was held at 2pm Wed in the Baptist Church with N.L. Range, paster and
L.L. Sams of Waco conducting the service. Burial was in the Brandon Cemetery by
the side of her only deceased child, Whitfield Shaw, interred 31 years ago.  In
addition to her husband, Mrs. Shaw is survived by ten children: Jim Shaw,
Brandon; Miller Shaw, Mangum, OK; Boyd Shaw, El Paso; Richard Shaw, Teague; Mrs.
Robert High, Abilene; Rufe Shaw, Billie Shaw, Mrs. Mary Bradley, Annie Maude
Shaw, Julia Ellen Shaw, all of Frost.  All the children were at their mother's
bedside when death came. Mrs. Shaw as a member of the Baptist Church.
