Richard Whitaker, age 26 years, of the firm of A. Whitaker & Co., died at
Hempstead on Wed. evening, May 30th, of inflamation of the brain. Mr. Whitaker
was for some time a merchant of this place, and his death will be seriously
regretted by his numerous friends of this community, (Navarro Express, June
16, 1860)
