Blooming Grove, Texas. A terrible storm of wind, rain and hail struck our town today, doing great damage to property. The dwelling houses of T.L. Moore, F.L. German, Joe Henry, Henry Burton, Charley Green and the new Baptist Church, also several colored residences, were entirely demolished. In the old town of Blooming Grove a number of houses were demolished, but the names were not learned. Several person were seriously injured. No lives lost have yet been reported. The post office, the Presbyterian Church, and several other buildings were blown from their blocks. The new Blick Block on Fordyce street was nearly entirely unroofed. The stocks of Tatum & Cunningham and S.W. Grimes & Co, are entirely exposed to drenching rain the the town is in gloom over the terrible destruction of property.
