Young couple dressed in their finest.  Their first child was born about 1893. 
This is probably their wedding day. R.S. was born about 1870 in Sumter County, 
Georgia.  Lula (last name unknown) was born about 1871 in Texas. R. S.migrated 
to Navarro County, Texas with father, John Douglas McDonald and his mother, 
the former Catherine Griffin between 1870 and 1874. As you can see the 
photograph was made by "Harper" Studios. 
This photograph was found among my mother's treasures when we closed her home 
after she died. The reverse of the photo has a written inscription. "R. S. and 
Lula McDonald, cousins of Lillie G. Autry." Lillie G. Autry was my grandmother 
and R. S. McDonald's mother; Catherine was my great grandfather's sister.
