Mary Susannah (Stuart) Jones was born in Ackerville, Wilcox County, Alabama, 
on 13 Apr 1854, and she died in Kerens, Navarro County, Texas, on 8 Dec 1936. 
Mary Susanna (Stuart) Jones' parents were James Harris Stuart, who died in 
1862 as a result of wounds he received at Gettysburg during the Civil War, and 
Nancy Ann (Albritton)Stuart 1837 – 1902. Nancy Ann (Albritton) Stuart was the 
daughter of Allen Kendrick Albritton 1794 – 1862, and Susannah Ford 1803 – 
1867. Following the death of her husband, Nancy Ann (Albritton) Stuart 
remarried to George Kyser, who was born in Alabama, 15 April 1823, and died in 
Navarro County, Texas, 12 Aug 1900. Mary Susanna (Stuart) Jones and her 
husband had the following children: Andrew Clarence Jones,  1870 – 1964; John 
Bruner Jones, 1872 – 1906; Francis Emmitt Jones, 1875 – 1946; Ernest Stuart 
Jones, 1877 – 1967; Mary Alice Jones, 1880 – 1881; Walter Gray Jones, 1882 – 
1906; Pinkerson "Pinkey" Jefferson Jones, 1885 – 1953; Ethel A Jones, 1886 – 
1887; Georgia Etta Jones, 1888 – 1965; Annie Lee Jones, 1889 – 1976 Inez 
Bertha Jones, 1892 – 1980; Francis Josephene Jones, 1893 – 1894;  Era M. Jones 
1894 – 1978; and Thomas Watson Jones, 1896 - 1971. 

Additional Comments:
Nearby gravestones include Stephen Jackson Jones as well as the graves of John 
Bruner Jones, Walter Gray Jones and others. The graves of Stephen Jackson 
Jones' parents are in the Prairie Point Cemetery in Navarro County, Texas. The 
graves of George and Nancy Ann (Albritton-Stuart) Kyser are also at the 
Prairie Point Cemetery.
