Married Elem Casroe (Bud) Ruffin Sept 19, 1894. They were married by the Rev. George S. Clark, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church South in Rice. (Recorded in Ellis County although Rice is in Navarro County) Made their home in Alma. They had one daughter, Dovie, born July 13, 1897.
