Grimes Born May 25, 1805 Died Dec 9, 1889 Additional Comments: He was the son of: George and Eurydice Gardner Grimes The family had moved to Texas as settlers in the 2nd Austin Colony. F.M. fought in the Texas Revolution and was at the Battle of San Jacinto. married: Elmira Susan Farley Grimes daughter of Henry F. and Nancy White Farley married Feb 1, 1837 in Washington Co, TX Her parents had come as original settlers in Texas from Mississippi. Elmira and F.M. lived most of their life in Washington, then Coryell County. They moved to Blooming Grove (Navarro) to be near their son, F.M. and died there.
