Navarro County Esate of G.W. Pruitt, Deceased No 2815 July Term 1919 Filed April 21, 1919, and shown of record in Volume (blank) page (blank) Probate Minutes if application for probate of will of Geo. W. Pruitt deceased and codicil thereto, etc. showing that said Pruitt died at his home in Blooming Grove, Navarro County, Texas, April 10, 1919, leaving valuable property, etc. and a written Will and codicil thereto., wherein applicants C.A. Brice and L.I. Griffen are appointed as Independent Executors and that they are not disqualifed, etc. Will of G.W. Pruitt, dated November 18th, 1911, and codicil thereto dated January 24, 1916 are filed along with the application. Will provides various specific legacies for his four daughters consisting of lands in Navarro and Ellis Counties; and the residue of his estate to said four daughters jointly. Original will appoints testator's wife, Mrs. S.E. Pruitt, and his son-in-law, C.R. Brice as Independent Executors of the will and Trustees of the estates of his daughters; and provides that no action be had beyond the probate of his Will and the return of an Inventory and Appraisement and List of Claims etc. Codicil, dated January 24, 1916 provides certain specific legacies of land, etc to his daughters and revokes that portion of his original Will appoint his wife, Mrs. S.E. Pruitt, executrix and in this codicil appoints his son-in-law, L.I. Griffin in her place and stead to serve as joint executor and Trustee with C.R. Brice both without bond, and that his estate shall be handled by said Executors, as Trustees, for a period of twenty years, paying income to his daughters, etc and at the end of that erm all said property to be divide, one fourth interest to each of his daughters, Mrs. Katie Cohen, Mrs. Mollie E. Brice, and Mrs. Fay D. Griffen, and one eight interst to his daughter, Mrs. Lula Heaton and a onesixteenth interest to his two granddaughters, May Heaton and Fay Heaton. Appoints said L.I. Griffin as active business manager of said properties, and fixes monthly salary for him, etc. July 9, 1919 probate minutes is proof of the original will on oath of R.L. Harris, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto; and proof of the Codicil on oath of R.L. Harris and E.B. Robinson, two of the subscribing witnesses to that document. By former order of the Court dated July 9th, 1919 and shown of record, said will and codicil were admitted to Probate as such and ordered to be recorded, etc and also appoint appraisers and also confirming appointment of C.R. Birce and L.I. Griffen as independent Executors and "that upon the return of Inventory, Appraisement and List of claims of said estate, and the payment of the costs of court, this estate be dropped from the docket. List of Claims include various notes, etc. one: Note of F.M. Grimes dated 10/22/11 for $8000.00 maturing Nov 1, 1915.
