P. Hardy of Newton and State aforesaid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day and by these presents do bargin sell transfer and convey unto the said Kenneth A. P. Hardy his heirs and assigns forever 1/2 of 1 labor of land with the exception of 20 ft. sq. including a grave yard wherein my father was buried, the same being the half of 1 labor of land granted to Joseph Lane, dec. upon which a patent has been obtained and lying and being situated in the said Co. of Newton. 1/2 the said labor having been previously sold to John McGee and being situated on the waters of West Creek, a tributary of Big Cow Creek as shown and described in said patent--- warrent and forever defend-----.
