Funeral Program
A service In Loving Memory of Lottie Mamie Bates was conducted
Friday March 11, 1988 at 10:00 AM from Colonial Langham Funeral
Home Chapel. A native of Corpus Christi, Lottie Mamie Bates was
born to Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Jones on January 8, 1904.  She professed
Christianity at an early age & was baptized.  She was a member of
First Congregational Church for many years.  She served the last
of her years at St. Mark A.M.E. Church.  For many years she was a
member of the Beauty Courts of Colanthians.  She leaves to mourn her
passing, 1 daughter, Clarice Lott; a son-in-law, Thomas Lott; 1
cousin, Mrs. Laura Hawkins of San Antonio, TX; 4 grandchildren, Ada
L. Bassett; Clarence Simmons; Vonn (Vaughn?) Cecil Pearsal, &
Marshall Springer all of Corpus Christi; 11 great grandchildren;
& 2 great-great grandchildren.  Pallbearers were Clarence Simmons,
Thomas Lott, Randal L. Jones, Lawrence Bassett, Gilbert Navarro, &
Marshall Springer.  Final arrangements were entrusted to Colonial
Langham Funeral Home.  Interment is at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
