FRANCES AREVALO FIGUEROA JULY 7, 1946 - FEB. 1, 2008 Frances Arevalo Figueroa 
passed away at Memorial Medical Center at 4:20 a.m. on Feb. 1, 2008, 
surrounded by her loving family after she lost her courageous battle with 
cancer. Born in Robstown, Texas; Frances had lived in Texas until she and her 
husband Matt, along with their children Chris and Amanda Joann, relocated to 
Modesto, CA. Frances worked at Kraft Foods (formerly General Foods) for 30 
years in the lab, until an early retirement, due to her illness. The light of 
her life were not only her children, but also her precious grandchildren. 
Being a grandmother was the most vital role of Frances life! She lived for her 
grandchildren! They brought such enormous joy to her and she dearly loved 
attending their soccer games, baseball games and dance recitals. Frances is 
survived by her beloved husband Matt of 41 years; children, Chris Figueroa 
(Priscilla), Amanda Joann Soria (Raul), Matthew Samuel Figueroa, all of 
Modesto; sisters, Terry Arevalo Martinez, Lee, ILL, Dora Arevalo Sanchez, and 
Terry Lopez Bernal of Corpus Christi, TX; brothers, Dom Arevalo of Modesto, 
Faustino Lopez of Las Vegas, NV, and Rosendo Lopez Matthis of TX, and 8 
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Arevalo; 
mother, Filomena L. Lopez; and brother, Jose Natevidad Arevalo. Viewing will 
be held Tues., Feb. 5, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with Rosary, same evening, 6:30-
8:00 p.m., both at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson, CA. Funeral will be held 
Wed., Feb. 6 at 10:00 a.m., at Lakewood Memorial Park.
