Age 84
Of Paw Paw
Formerly of Decatur
Passed away Sun., March 9, 2008 in Bronson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 
Lawton. Brad was born March 26, 1923 in Corpus Christi, TX, the son of Zeferino 
& Antonia (Guzman) Fuentes. He was an Army / Air Corps veteran of WW II. He was 
formerly employed by General Motors in Kalamazoo for several years & was a 
member of UAW & VFW Celery City Post #6248 of Decatur. He married Emma Ayala 
Sept. 14, 1942 in Corpus Christi, TX & she survives. Also surviving are two 
daughters, Divina (Dennis) Otte of Galesburg, Rose (Robert) Emmendorfer of Paw 
Paw; five sons, Robert Fuentes of Paw Paw, Charles (Patricia) Fuentes of 
Kalamazoo, John Fuentes of Niles, Michael (Linda) Fuentes of Houston, TX & 
Jerome Fuentes of Lawton; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren & two 
sisters, Mary Lopez & Nati Alvarez, both of Corpus Christi, TX. He was preceded 
in death by his parents; a son, Theodore "Ted" Fuentes; sister, Dominga Torres 
& a brother, Tony Fuentes. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 
held 11:00 AM Thurs. in the First Reformed Church, Decatur with Rev. Mark 
Hofstra, officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. 
Memorials may be made to Decatur Rocket Football. Arrangements by Newell 
Funeral Home, Decatur.
