  Years ago, a man was found dead along side State Highway 87, north of Orange,
  (now Old Highway 87). He was buried beside the road on a small knoll. George
  Hudson later approached the owner of the property, Morgan Lindsey Lumber
  Company, asking them to donate the surrounding acre of land to create a local
  cemetery, which they did. Thus the Hudson Cemetery came into being.

   Directions to the cemetery from Orange, Texas going north. From I10 go
   out Hwy 87 north 7.3 miles to Abe's Road. Turn right on Abe's and
   follow until it ends at Old Hwy 87 (9/10 of a mile), there you will
   see Hudson Cemetery.
