I am trying to find info on her parents W.F. HALE AND REED SHEFFIELD HALE. In the obit it mentions her father owned a furniture store in Orange. I don't know when he died or when her mother died. Where can I look for records. I have been unable to locate death records. I am Lynda Jackson Denaro denarof@mindspring.com Mrs Verdie Parker, born Texas, 09-20-1890, died 07-03-1958, ORANGE, TEXAS Last rites for Mrs. Verdie Hale Parker, 68, of Little Cypress community will be conducted tomorrow at 10am in the Claybar Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl O. Bayer, First Methodist pastor , officiating. burial will be in the Parish Cemetary. Pallbears include John W. Simmons, Carl Hickey, J. Thornton Griffin, Ward Stephenson, Charles Sanders and Buddy Viner. Mrs Parker died yesterday at 5:30pm in a local hospital. she was the wife of the late L.L. Parker, Orange furniture company owner and was the daughter of the late W.F. Hale, also a furniture store owner here. A native of Mineola, Mrs Parker lived here many years during which she was a member of the Womens Club of Orange, the First Methodist Church, and the Women's Society of Christian Service. Survivors inclide one son A. Lynn Jackson of Beaufort, S.C., three sisters, Mrs G.C. Glidden and Mrs Maude Neyland, both of Orange and Mrs Jewel Viner of Houston, and two grandchildren.
