Woodyard and Martha Jackson. Shortly after his birth, he moved with his parents and siblings to Russell County, Ala. He is first found in Panola County, Tex. on the 1878 tax list. In the 1880 Panola County census he is living with his sister Mary and her husband Alfred Perry. Felix is recorded as age 29, single, and a farmer. In May 1891 he joined the Cooper Guards, a unit of the Texas Volunteer Guards. On Janurary 4, 1885 he married in Panola County Sarah Loula Adrian Fyke, daughter of Sallie Jackson and Judge Henderson Fyke. Sarah was born July 18, 1861 in Panola County and died April 26, 1951 in Panola County. She and Felix are both buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Carthage, Panola County. In 1885 in Carthage they opened the Woodyard and Company Dry Goods and Millinery store. She continued to operate the store until about 1940. To them were born five known children: 1) Mary L. Woodyard born November 30, 1886 Panola County died October 21, 1897 Panola County. Buried Carthage City Cemetery. 2) Lester Henderson Woodyard born March 31, 1888 Panola County died November 11, 1942 San Antonio. Buried Odd Fellows Cemetery, Carthage. Married Catherine Bradberry. Two children. 3) Clyde Alford Woodyard born July 8, 1892 Panola County died November 5, 1970 Panola County. Buried Odd Fellows Cemetery. Married Anabell Holland. Two children. 4) Roy Dudley Woodyard born March 31, 1898 Panola County died December 5, 1958 Panola County. Buried Odd Fellows Cemetery, Carthage. Married Lilly Haleene Crawford. One child. 5) Maude Elizabeth Woodyard born May 7 1903 Panola County died February 28, 1996 San Angelo, Tom Green County, Tex. Buried Lakewood Cemetery, Rusk Co., Tex. Married Egbert Benson Alford.
