Davis died last night after a brief illness of paralysis at the home of her son, J.M. Davis, five miles north of Weatherford. Her home was in Maury County, Tennessee, where she has another son and daughter, but was here visiting the son at whose home she died and his brother, J.P. Davis of the same community. She was a most excellent Christian lady, having been a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church for 50 years. Her death is doubly sad as she had be recently come out to visit her two sons here whom she had not seen for a number of years. The remains were buried this afternoon at Zion Hill. Rev. J.F. Swofford conducted the funeral service.
