The Daily Dispatch, Richmond, VA June 11, 1862
Died, of typhoid fever, on Sunday morning, 8th of June 1862, at the residence 
of John F. Panner, in this city. Lieut. J. F. Jones �� , of Company K. 5th Texas 
regiment, from Pola county, in that State. 

Although dying among strangers, his distant friends may be assured that all was 
done for him during his painful illness that medical skill could suggest, or 
patient attentions execute. He was deterred in Hollywood Cemetery, near the 
grave of his relative, Eneth �� Jones, who died under the same roof, on the 9th 
of August last.
