Bronze sign at Peebles Cemetery on Israel Road reads:

"Peebles Cemetery
Israel Road
Established 1890
Land Donated by
Joel t. Peebles 
&
Betty Alexander Peebles
For the Israel Community"

Additional Comments:
Peebles Cemetery is near the end of Israel Road, approximately 2.5 miles from 
the junction with Highway 146.   Watch for the small sign on the left; turn 
left, then right after about 50 feet and go up the hill to the cemetery.
