Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. George Nite of San Jacinto Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Johnston was born in Horatio, Ark. She came to Amarillo from East Texas in 1938. She married J.W. Johnston in 1956 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a son, Joe Wayne Johnston of Amarillo; two daughters, Forraine Davis and Leone Tatum, both of Amarillo; three sisters, Elise Swindle and Irene Swindle, both of Pampa, and Ollie Allen of Greenville; and many stepgrandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Carol Eileen DeMoss GoolsbyCarol Eileen DeMoss Goolsby, 55, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Goolsby was born in Oklahoma City. She had been an Amarillo resident since 1992. She married James A. Goolsby in 1958 at Oklahoma City. She has served as Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America and as a member of The Relief Society. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son. Survivors include her husband; a son, J. Aaron Goolsby; three daughters, Jamie A. Langston of Katy, Karen E. Sampson of Kemah and Shelley E. Koval of Amarillo; a brother, Coyle E. DeMoss of Bells; a sister, Cleta E. Bieger of Norman, Okla; and 11 grandchildren. WRIGHT Clenton WrightClenton ``Faris'' Wright, 85, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Wright was born in New Castle. He married Opal Frazier in 1942 at Clayton, N.M. He was a retired rancher and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Carl Wright of Tucumcari, N.M.; a daughter, Doris Rogers of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. ALLISON Aubrey E. AllisonAubrey E. Allison, 79, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Dr. Harold Daniel of Polk Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Allison was born in Amarillo and had lived here all of his life. He was an armature winder with G.E. Jones Electric Co. for 48 years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Palo Duro Masonic Lodge and the Homebuilders Sunday school class for 48 years. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. He married Vada Allison in 1948 at Memphis. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Gayle Anthony of Amarillo; a son, Jerry Allison of Amarillo; and six granddaughters. The family will be at 3712 Julie St. and suggests memorials be to the Television Ministry of Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Polk St., Amarillo, Texas 79101, or a favorite charity. FLORES Evangelina FloresEvangelina Flores, 69, of 1300 E. 13th Ave., died Monday, Dec. 23, 1996. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. John Valdez officiating. Mrs. Flores was born in Sweetwater and moved to Amarillo at age 6. She was a homemaker and past president of Our Lady of Guadalupe PTA. She was a member of Guadalupanas Organization and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include five daughters, Aurora Hurtado, Tangy Flores, Mary DeLeon, Vangie Villareal and Carol Ramos, all of Amarillo; three sons, Ines Flores, Juan Flores and Jerry Flores, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Chon Ramos and Manuel Ramos, both of Amarillo; a sister, Rachel Chavez of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; eight grandchildren; and a special friend, Clemente Solis of Amarillo. The family will be at 1300 E. 13th Ave. and suggests memorials be to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School. Harley Doren CleaverHarley Doren Cleaver, infant son of Jeremy and Donna Cleaver of Amarillo, died Monday, Dec. 23, 1996. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Pfeil, Christian radio minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home. Cleaver was born in Amarillo. Survivors include his parents, Jeremy and Donna Cleaver; a brother, Cody Cleaver of the home; his grandparents, Dennis and Betsy Cleaver, Jane Roudebush and Walter J. Cannon, all of Amarillo; his great-grandparents, Nina Simpson and J.V. Cannon, both of Amarillo. The family will be at 4002 S. Harrison. The family requests memorials to the Northwest Texas Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. New Mexico Merlin HarrisCLOVIS, N.M. - Merlin Harris, 78, died Monday, Dec. 23, 1996. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with the Clovis Masonic Lodge No. 40 officiating. Mr. Harris was born in Tongamoxi, Kan. He was a pilot in the Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Verna Harris; two daughters, Susan Echols of Henderson, Nev., and Donna Kamradt of Clovis; a sister, Mary Blackwood of Florida; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
