Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at White Deer by Monsignor Kevin Hand, pastor, and the Rev. Pat Carathers, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Vega. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at White Deer. Mrs. Haiduk was born in Greenville. She moved to Amarillo in 1993 from the Haiduk farm in Groom. She married Fred Haiduk in 1938 at White Deer. She was a homemaker and a 50-year member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in White Deer, where she had been a past president of the Altar Society. In 1951, she was named Homemaker of the Year from nominees in 51 counties by the Scripps-Howard ``Save the Soil and Save Texas'' program. In 1966, she was elected vice-president of the National Council of Catholic Women. She was named Amarillo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women's ``Woman of the Year'' in 1967. She served on the board of the Carson County Squarehouse Museum in Panhandle from 1964 to 1972. She was a member of the Top O' Texas Knife and Fork Club in Pampa and the Texas Farmer's Union Pioneer Committee. Survivors include her husband; a son, Harry Paul Haiduk of Amarillo; a daughter, Myrna Brorman of Vega; a brother, Bill Melton of Leonard; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. BIEGANOWSKI Frank J. BieganowskiFrank J. Bieganowski, 83, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1996. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in Martin Road Chapel with the Rev. Al Gradillas of St. Laurence Cathedral officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Bieganowski was born in Fort Collins, Colo. He was a longtime resident of Fritch and Amarillo. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. He also was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Borger. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired as a clerk for the Rock Island Railroad. His wife preceded him in death in 1994. Survivors include four daughters, Frances Field of Dalhart, Betty King of Abilene, Helen Richardson of Visalia, Calif., and Bobbie Scoppa of El Paso; a son, Frank E. LOVELADY Stephen Dale LoveladyStephen ``Steve'' Dale Lovelady, 49, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Mathis, pastor of West Amarillo Christian Church, officiating. Military honors will be by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 26. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Lovelady was born in Amarillo and had lived here all his life. He attended San Jacinto Elementary School and Sam Houston Junior High School and graduated from Tascosa High School. He then attended Amarillo College. He served with the Navy in California. He was a supervisor and foreman for Plains Sheet Metal Co., and had been a member of Sheetmetal Workers Local No. 49 for 20 years. He married Colly Simmons in 1973 at Clovis, N.M. She died in 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Read of Amarillo; a son, Mark Cahill of Austin; and two granddaughters. The family will be at 5300 Paloma. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 26. Mr. Tucker was born in Winters and had been a resident of Amarillo for 50 years. He served with the Navy during World War II. He worked in road building construction for DePauw Construction. He was a volunteer at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 5681 in Canyon. He was a Baptist. He married Syble Cameron in 1972 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lonette Bean, in 1992. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tom Tucker of Amarillo and Terry Tucker of Arlington; two stepsons, Allen Coonce of Sacramento, Calif., and Charles Muse of Benton, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Anita Vardell of Amarillo and Barbara Ethier of Bellville; a brother, J.T. She was a resident of Memphis and Pampa most of her life before moving to Amarillo in 1995. She married Curtis W. Huckaby in 1923 at Tucumcari, N.M. He died in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pampa, the Gleaners Sunday School Class and the Sonshine Club at the church. Survivors include a son, Bill F. Ginger ShackelfordFORT WORTH - Ginger Shackelford, 50, a former Amarillo resident, died Monday, Dec. 23, 1996. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Harper-Talasek Funeral Home at Temple. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery at Troy. A memorial service will be in January at Fort Worth. Ms. Shackelford was raised in Temple. She began teaching at William James in 1983 after a stint as a public school teacher in Amarillo at William B. Travis Junior High School. She was past president of Amarillo Classroom Teachers Association. In 1979, she was elected to be a regional director of the National Council of Urban Education Associations and president of the Texas Educators Council. She also was involved in the Texas State Teachers Association. At the time of her death, she was in her second two-year term as president of the association. She was a sixth-grade science teacher at William James Middle School. She was active in the Democratic Party and served twice as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. Survivors include her mother, Maribelle Gunn of Troy; and a brother, Corman Dean Gunn of Temple. Patsy Russell McDowellVICTORIA - Patsy Russell McDowell, 65, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1996. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fellowship Bible Church with the Rev. Mike Malone officiating. Arrangements are by Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Mrs. McDowell was born in Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Bible Church. She was a member of the Decora Study Club, the Azalea Garden Club, the Victoria Symphony League and PAWS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell McDowell. Survivors include two daughters, Julie Reidel of Plano and Joni Waring of San Antonio; a son, Rusty McDowell of Houston; two sisters, Eadie Agosta of Las Vegas and Anna Laura Young of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Raymond Gale Russell of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was a chemical engineer for Phillips Petroleum Co. and Huber Corp. He married Ruth Cole in 1937 at Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and was a former member of the Noon Lions Club. Survivors include his wife. Edna Ruth RichterPAMPA - Edna Ruth Richter, 69, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Richter was born in Deerfield, Kan. She moved to Pampa in 1959 from Ensign, Kan. She married Erwin Richter in 1944 at Garden City, Kan. She worked as a kitchen aide for the Worley and Highland General Hospitals. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Debby Harris of Skellytown; two sons, Allen Richter of Amarillo and Clifford Wayne Richter of Englewood, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Mobeetie Cemetery. Mr. Bailey was born in Mobeetie and had been a lifelong resident there. He married Alice Morgan in 1946 at Miami, Texas. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Miami and the Old Mobeetie Association. Survivors include his wife; a son, John Bailey of Pampa; two daughters, Betty Sue Glover of Clarendon and Judy Faye Parker of Pampa; two brothers, Bill Bailey of Pampa and Hugh Bailey of Mobeetie; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery. Mr. Ware was born in Fort Worth. He had been a resident of Childress and Hall counties most of his life before moving to Donley County 15 years ago. He worked for the JA Ranch and the Mill Iron Ranch for several years and was a self-employed rancher most of his life. He was the oldest living JA Ranch cowboy. He also was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Norma Ashley of Clovis, N.M.; two sisters, Ruth Davey of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Lucille Hughes of Redding, Calif.; three grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. JOHNSON Randy M. JohnsonHAPPY - Randy M. Johnson, 47, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1996, at Temple. He graduated from Happy High School in 1967 and from West Texas State University in 1971 with a bachelor's degree in Ag Economics. He was a lifetime resident of Happy, where he farmed and ranched. He also was co-owner of Tascosa Feedyard. He was a member of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association and First Presbyterian Church of Happy. He currently attended First United Methodist Church of Tulia. Survivors include his father, Cone Johnson of Happy; and a brother, Ronnie Johnson of Happy. He served three terms as a Collingsworth County commissioner. He was a former member of the National Oldtimers Rodeo Association and the Living Legends Rodeo Association. He was a team roper. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Ernest Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Melton was born in Montague County, Texas. He married Erminia Hood in 1929 at Grassland, Texas. He was a retired auto dealer and also had ranched in the Las Vegas, N.M., area for many years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Delia Sayes of Kankakee, Ill.; a son, Bill Melton of Clovis; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Manuela Lucero UriasCLOVIS, N.M. - Manuela Lucero Urias, 61, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mrs. Urias was born in Lubbock, Texas. She married Juan Urias in 1962. She worked for a dry cleaner. Survivors include two daughters, Anna Marie Sena of Clovis and Judy Vigil of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her mother, Seferina Hernandez; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Donald N. RutledgeCLAYTON, N.M. - Donald N. Rutledge, 91, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andy Husted, pastor, and the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors. Mr. Rutledge was born in Seward County, Neb. He attended school in Utica and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He married Ann R. Lewien in 1929 at Lincoln. She died in 1990. They lived in Omaha before moving to a ranch west of Kenton, Okla. They spent 30 years ranching there. He retired in 1966 and they moved to Clayton. He was active in church and civic affairs. He did lay preaching in the Mexhoma area for 24 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Clayton. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Richmond of Lincoln.
