Burial was in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Ms. Wilhite was born in Hereford. She lived in Clovis, N.M., before moving to Dimmitt in 1979. She was a junior at Nazareth High School where she played in the Swift Band. She was the honorary cheerleader manager. Survivors include her parents, Robert and Tammy Wilhite of Dimmitt; a brother, James Wilhite of Dimmitt; and her grandparents, Bob and Nadine Wilhite and Edd and Alta Hutto, all of Clovis. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Fred Godwin in 1923 at Miami. He died in 1986. Survivors include two daughters, Berdena Neef of Pampa and Marlene Dross of Hagerman, N.M.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery by MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Yungblut was born in Greensbery, La. She moved to Borger in 1935 from Amite, La. She was a retired librarian for Frank Phillips College. She was a member of Hutchinson County Republican Women, and a past president of both the Borger 20th Century Federation Club and Friends of the Library. She was a past director of Cedar Canyon Methodist Church Camp. Mrs. Yungblut was a member of Texas Parent Teacher's Association, Girls 4H Leadership and a leader of the Plemons Cub Scout troop. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Yungblut, in 1982. Survivors include a son, Gary Cline Yungblut of Abilene; a daughter, Rogenna Hanson of Paradise, Calif.; two brothers, Wilton Warren of Chalmette, La., and Alton Warren of Roseland, La.; a sister, Hazel Cutrer of Amite, La.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Gertrude Robinson PAMPA - Gertrude Robinson, 87, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Mrs. Robinson was born in Rochester, N.Y. She moved to Pampa from Houston four years ago. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She married Lytle Robinson in 1934 at Olean, N.Y. He died in 1976. Survivors include two daughters, Rita M. Robinson and Frances O'Neal, both of Pampa; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Council for the Blind. Meredith Kendrick GROOM - Meredith Kendrick, 82, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church, with the Rev. R. Bryan Richardson, former pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Groom Cemetery. Mr. Kendrick was born in Moody. He graduated as valedictorian from Groom High School. He graduated from West Texas State Teachers College in 1939. He married Marion Clark in 1940 at Amarillo. He was a carpenter and also farmed and ranched in Groom for more than 56 years. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, the men's Sunday School class, Groom Masonic Lodge where he was a past master, and the Groom Community Center. He helped renovate Groom's hospital into the Community Center. Mr. Kendrick was preceded in death by his wife in April 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Janis Ann DeLoach of Lubbock; two sons, William D. Kendrick of Duncan, Okla., and Robert Arlin Kendrick of Montgomery; four brothers, Curtis H. He was a member of the National Honor Society, Gifted and Talented Program, Youth Leadership Council, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was a varsity wrestler, who helped his team win second place in state championships. He worked at Boys Ranch and worked weekends at Schlotzsky's in Amarillo. Willard Otto Hudson CLARENDON - Willard Otto Hudson, 81, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Robertson Chapel of Memories, with Don Stone, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Citizen's Cemetery. Mr. Hudson was born in Brice. He lived in Clarendon most of his life. He owned a hardware and sporting goods store for seven years in Clarendon, then he owned a business in Burson Lakes for 22 years. He was also employed by the Donley County State Bank for 43 years before retiring in 1995. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He married Marguarett Augusta "Peggy'' Taylor in 1936 at Fort Collins, Colo. She preceded him in death in 1991. Survivors include a son, Dr. Keith Hudson of Colleyville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Rev. Howard Stone PERRYTON - The Rev. Howard Stone, 75, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Elwyn Rogers, the Rev. Paul Hebbert, and the Rev. Frank Springer, officiating. Burial will be Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. The Rev. Stone was born in 1921 at Chadron, Neb. He had lived in Perryton since 1965. He married Evelyn Cook in 1948 at Casper, Wyo. He was a minister since 1955. He was an Ochiltree County judge from 1975 to 1990. He had been the minister at Gray Church for 15 years. He had been on the police department and sheriff department, and was also a probation officer. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Evelyn Stone of Perryton and Carol Johnson of Hardin, Mo.; two sons, Robert Stone and Larry Stone, both of Casper, Wyo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was a truck driver. He was a member of Stratford Church of Christ. He married Cathy Hardeman in 1983 in New Mexico. He attended schools in Bluff Dale and Floyd County. He married Frances McCormick in 1929 at Woodward, Okla. He moved to Amarillo from Pampa in 1934. He worked as a pipeline welder for many years and he owned and operated Texas Engineering and Construction Co. until 1960. He retired as a furniture maker in 1967. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. Mr. Graham was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Graham in 1985. Survivors include his wife; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Dr. Cobb was born in Littlefield. He received his bachelor's degree from West Texas State University in 1958. He graduated from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1961, he did his internship at Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital from 1961-1962. He became a certified general practitioner in 1978. He married Elizabeth Ann Warren in 1976 at Houston. He was a member of AOMA and TOMA. He was a delegate to TOMA from 1977 to 1989 and was Chief-of-Staff at Southwest Osteopathic Hospital from 1977 to 1982. He practiced medicine in Houston and in Amarillo until his retirement in 1989. He attended First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jodie Hughes and Stacy Ferrari, both of Amarillo, and Carrie Looney of Huntsville; three sons, Nathan Cobb of Tucson, Ariz., Michael Cobb of Dallas, and Ricky Cobb of Spring; and 13 grandchildren. He was retired from Pantex, and was a Army veteran of World War II. He was a former coach and administrator for Kids Inc. in Amarillo. Mr. Marler was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Marler, in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Dunavin of Cleburne; two sons, Danny Ray Marler of Amarillo, and Robert Dennis Marler of Kempner; a sister, Irene Ellison of Houston; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She received her Bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University in 1936. She was a teacher, and taught in the Arlington, Wichita Falls, and Amarillo public school system. She married R.C. Boulware in 1981. He preceded her in death in 1984. Survivors include a son, Bob Pilkinton of Corpus Christi; one nephew, Wayne Nobles of Norman, Okla.; and one grandchild. Mr. Rhodes was born in Pennsylvania. He married the late Gladys Getty in 1938 in Saegertown, Pa. He was the formal director of personnel for Southwestern Public Service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, 32nd Masonic Lodge, Chamber Coffee Club, Heart of Texas Winnebago Group, and Amarillo Police Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, Thomas A. Mr. Holbrook was born in Erick, Okla. He is a former manager of Smith Cattle Feeders of Vega. He was the owner of Circle H Cattle. He coached Little League baseball and basketball for the Canyon Basketball Association. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Longhorn Breeders Association, the Happy Booster Club and the Band Booster Club. He attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He married Dayna Venhaus in 1979 at Wheeler. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Danielle Holbrook of the home; two sons, Christopher Holbrook and Nicholas Holbrook, both of the home; his mother, Barbara Holbrook Huff of Briscoe; a brother, Kevin Holbrook of Liberty; and a sister, Dawn Gae Donaldson of Allison. She was a member of several women's clubs and the Buchanan Street Methodist Church of Amarillo. Mrs. Wilcox was preceded in death by her husband in 1975 and a daughter, Verna Jean Peyton in 1976.
