Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Highland Park Cemetery with Ron Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Deason was born in Pear Valley and had lived in Borger for 51 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Johnson Park Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 811. She married Frank Deason in 1922 at Pear Valley. He died in 1973. Survivors include two daughters, Anita Hall of Borger and Geraldine Wright of Amarillo; a brother, Randale Cowan of Fritch; four sisters, Ethel Phillips of Liberal, Kan., Viola Foster of Borger, Aileen Miller of Breckenridge and Lois Granger of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at 704 Ferguson. Erma Ott Wood PERRYTON - Erma Ott Wood, 80, died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Danley officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Mrs. Wood was born in Burlington, Okla. She had lived in the Perryton area for nine years, moving from Grand Lake, Okla. She married Hugh Wood in 1939 at Springfield, Mo. He died in 1996. Mrs. Wood graduated from Wichita Business College in 1936. She worked as a bookkeeper for Zigler and Oakes in Guymon until retiring in 1972. She was a Methodist. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Pearson of Perryton; two sisters, Laverne Roth and Esther Hood, both of Kiowa, Kan.; two brothers, Arnold Ott of Alva, Okla., and Marvin Ott of Kiowa; and two grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Alzheimer's Association. Chester L. White WELLINGTON - Chester L. White, 83, died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Church of Christ with Alfred White, minister of the Church of Christ in Claude, and Kevin Rhodes, minister, officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mr. White was born in Quail. He was a farmer for 40 years and was the Collingsworth County Road Supervisor for more than 10 years. He married Juanita Thompson in 1933 at Hollis, Okla. Mr. White was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a former member of the Wellington Lions Club. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Neal Richard White of King of Prussia, Pa., and Gary Lynn White of Encampment, Wyo.; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Westview Boys Home. Loyce Imogene Patridge PLAINVIEW - Loyce Imogene "Jean" Patridge, 73, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Seth Ward Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Welch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Patridge was born in Horton. She grew up and attended school in Lone Oak. She married Calvin C. Patridge in 1942 at Sulphur Springs. Mrs. Patridge lived in Dallas until 1943, when she moved to Greenville. She moved to Petersburg in 1949 and to Plainview in 1950. She was a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church for 40 years. She taught Sunday school classes and Bible school, and she operated the church kitchen, sang in the choir and was active with WMU. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sherry Ray and Sheila Armstrong, both of Hale Center; six sons, Danny Patridge of San Angelo, Gregory Patridge of Lockney, Doyce Patridge, Jerry Patridge and Joel Patridge, all of Plainview, and Steve Patridge of O'Donnell; a brother, Wayne Bacon of Arlington; six sisters, Lorene Tarrant of Campbell, Onida Holbrook of Van Buren, Ark., Francis Macy of Jacksonville, Fla., Lily Kilman of Sulphur Springs, Viola Barber of Dallas and Manerva Lake of Commerce; 18 grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Family Hospice of Plainview. Violet Rees Mathers CANADIAN - Violet Rees Mathers, 96, died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Jerry Golden, pastor, and Denzil Leonard of Canadian officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors. Mrs. Mathers was born in Long Island, Kan. She graduated from Miami, Texas, High School. She married G.B. "Snooks" Mathers in 1922 at Miami. They moved to a ranch near Mobeetie. They then moved to Hemphill County in the late 1920s. Mr. Mathers died in 1980. She also was preceded in death by a son, Frank Mathers, in 1979. Mrs. Mathers was a member of First Baptist Church and served as intermediate department director for 21 years. She also was an adult teacher. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also was a member of the PEO sisterhood. Survivors include two sons, Bill Mathers of Miles City, Mont., and Ben Mathers of Canadian; 10 granddaughters; and 29 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Zybach Cemetery at Allison by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mrs. Childress was born in Hollis, Okla. She moved to Texas with her family in 1930. She married John Thomas "Jake" Childress in 1937 at Canadian. They lived in Hemphill County until 1985, when they moved to Allison. Mr. Childress died in 1989. Mrs. Childress was an Avon representative for 12 years. She had been a resident of the Wheeler Care Center for the past 31/2 years. Survivors include two sons, Shot Childress of Borger and Everett "Punk" Childress of Tuttle, Okla.; five daughters, Fern Reed of Wheeler, Lou Bollman of Amarillo, Ruby Smith of Farmington, N.M., and Annetta Joyce Childress and Debbie Addy, both of Groom; a sister, Arline King of Lubbock; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-grandchild. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1994, moving from Detroit. He was a truck driver in Detroit. He was Catholic. Survivors include three sons, Sammy Garcia and Rudy Garcia, both of Hereford, and Teddy Garcia of Detroit; two daughters, Angie Martinez of Dumas and Carrie Garcia of Detroit; three brothers, Jose Angel Garcia of Houston, and Chico Martinez and Albert Martinez, both of Harlingen; four sisters, Connie, Mary, Julie Garcia and Maggie Garca, all of Harlingen; and five grandsons. The family will be at 804 N. Maddox. Ralph Brantner STRATFORD - Ralph Brantner, 72, formerly of Stratford, died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Church of Christ in Stratford with Fred Riley Jr., minister of the Church of Christ in Texhoma, Okla., and Jon Heatwole, minister of the Church of Christ in Stratford, officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. (MST) Friday in Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Brantner was born in Redmud, Kent County. He was a longtime resident of the Stratford and Panhandle areas. He had been a resident of Goodwell, Okla., since August. He was a cowboy and a member of the Church of Christ in Texhoma. He served with the Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Brantner; two daughters, Rebecca Leonard of New Ulm, Minn., and Charylene Smith of Keyes, Okla.; his mother, Marie Brantner of Spur; three sisters, Irene Lemley of Houston, Doris Maness of Conway, Ark., and Joyce Wooten of Mexia; a brother, Ronnie Brantner of Hohenwald, Tenn.; two stepsons, Marty Butler of Westbrook, Va., and Judd Butler of Stratford; two grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren. Mr. Woith was born in Bloomington, Ill. He served with the Navy during World War II. He worked at Interior Designing for 50 years. He married Mildred Marsh in 1938 at St. Louis. She died in 1993. Mr. Trevizo was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a floor hand in the oil fields. He was Catholic. He married Bobbie Lee Mote in 1997 at Beaver. She married J. Chester Wright in 1930 in New Mexico. He died in 1966. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Sullivan of Boulder and Joy Rebman of Eloy, Ariz.; five grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Nicholas was born at Fargo, N.D. He was attending Clay-Wilkin Head Start Program. Adelaide Whatley LUBBOCK - Adelaide Whatley, 81, a former Lubbock resident, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, in Paducah. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Elgin Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Buckland officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park by Rix Funeral Directors. Mrs. Whatley was born in Ada, Okla. She married Gerald Whatley in 1933 at Altus, Okla. He died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Geralda Bishop, in 1983. She moved to Lubbock in 1960. She was a homemaker and a past member of Elgin Avenue Baptist Church and the Ruth Class. She moved to Paducah, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Carroll Whatley of Wolfforth; a daughter, Gayle Long of Paducah; a sister, Peggy Smith of Clovis, N.M. nine grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
