Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Lane was born in Vernon and had lived in Amarillo for 51 years. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Bykota Southern Baptist Church and a member of Pleasant Valley Rebekah Lodge No. 193. Grace Lucille Knoll Grace Lucille Knoll, 86, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Shamrock Cemetery at Shamrock with the Rev. Charles Meyer, pastor of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church of Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Knoll was born in Marietta, Okla. She moved to the Nickelson community at an early age and attended Nickelson schools. She married Alfred Knoll in 1928 at Wellington. He died in 1981. She lived in Collingsworth County before moving to Shamrock, where she was active in 4-H and the Home Demonstration Club. She moved to Amarillo about four years ago. She retired in 1984 from Shamrock General Hospital after working there for more than 30 years. She had served 18 years as Central Supply supervisor and had been a surgical technician 20 years. She began her nursing profession in 1951. She received her practical nurse certificate in 1954 and her certificate as a surgical technician in 1969. She worked for three years as a dental assistant for Dr. Lear, a former Shamrock dentist. Mrs. Knoll had assisted 11 classes of licensed vocational nursing students through Central Supply and the surgery department for their orientation and training. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Shamrock. Survivors include a daughter, Ida Louise Clark of Amarillo; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. Helen Cole Turner Helen Cole Turner, 59, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in N.S. She also was a semi-retired rancher. She was a former member of the Amarillo Elks Lodge, the Will Rogers Range Riders and St. Paul United Methodist Church. He graduated from Turpin High School in 1944 and attended Southwest Bible College in Oklahoma City. He graduated from the Dallas School of Floral Design. He married Allene J. McNew in 1947 at Clayton, N.M. He was an executive housekeeper and coffee shop manager for seven years as well as being self-employed for a number of years. He was an active member of the Assembly of God Church and a current member of the First Assembly of God Church in Canyon. Mr. Stewart was born in Terrell. He moved to Amarillo in 1966 from Stinnett. He married Sarah Elizabeth Siesser in 1946 at Plainview. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and participated in the action against the Japanese at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan and Tinian. He was a brakeman and conductor for Santa Fe Railway for 37 years before retiring in 1987. He was a 25-year member of Isom Masonic Lodge No. 1242 AF&AM of Borger and a 25-year member of Borger Chapter No. 811 of the Order of the Eastern Star. He also worked with the International Order of Rainbow for girls. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1475 and a 40-year member of the United Transportation Union. He was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Lee Stewart, in 1955.
