Mrs. Smith was born in El Paso and moved to Pampa last year from Sacramento, Calif., where she had lived most of her life. She was a Methodist. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Kane of Pampa; three sons, Donald Thomas Darling of Las Vegas, David Bruce Darling of Fort Hood and Joseph Lance Darling of Folsom, Calif.; two brothers, David Drown Hamill of Baltimore, Md., and James Bruce Hamill of Sacramento; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to be to Hospice of the Panhandle. The body will not be available for viewing. Rev. Howard Stone PERRYTON - The Rev. Howard Stone, 76, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church with the Rev. Elwyn Rogers, the Rev. Paul Hebbert, and the Rev. Frank Springer officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Rev. Stone was born in Chadron, Neb. He had lived in Perryton since 1965. He was in ministry for 42 years. He was pastor of Gray Community Church for 16 years. He was a sheriff's deputy for four years and a county juvenile officer for two years. Rev. Stone was an Ochiltree County judge from 1975 to 1990. He married Evelyn Cook in 1948 at Casper, Wyo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandra Sharbono of Hardin, Mont., and Carol Johnson of Perryton; two sons, Robert Stone and Larry Stone, both of Casper, Wyo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity. Lillie Gladys Loe QUANAH - Lillie Gladys Loe, 90, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997. Mrs. Loe was born in Estelline. She graduated from Northside High School and Draughon's Business College at Wichita Falls. She lived in California for many years where she was a secretary and bookkeeper. She moved to Quanah in 1977. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union. Survivors include two sons, Lynn Loe of Concord, Calif., and Robert Loe of Spokane, Wash.; two brothers, Milton L. Graham Jr. of Wichita Falls, and Joe Graham of Lubbock; and three sisters, Veta Callis of Spokane, Merle Monkres of Vernon and Billie Allen of Perryton. Mr. Reyna was born in Ft. Sill, Okla. He had been a Hereford resident for 19 years. He graduated from Hereford High School where he was a quarterback for the football team. He also participated in band. Survivors include his son, Elias Jakob Reyna of Hereford; his parents, Manuel and Janie Reyna of Hereford, a sister, Janie Garcia of Hereford; a brother, Manuel Jr. Reyna of Hereford; and his grandparents, Elias and Ines Reyna of Hereford and Jesus and Jesusita Morales of Snyder. Desi Pesina Sr. DIMMITT - Desi Pesina Sr., 87, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997. A vigil will begin at 7 p.m. today in the Ivey Chapel of the Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Jose Velo and John Nino officiating. Burial will be in the Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Pesina was born in Mexico. He retired from operating a package store in Dimmitt. He was a member of LULAC and a former board member of the Aztec Housing Corp. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He married Manuela Vasquez in 1930 at Brady. She died in July. Survivors include a son, Desi Pesina Jr. of Houston; a daughter, Estelle Stroud of Nacogdoches; two sisters, Corina Perez of Dimmitt and Julia Pesina of Melvin; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Elmer Haralson WELLINGTON - Elmer Haralson, 88, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mr. Haralson was born in the Lillie community of Collingsworth County. He was a retired farmer and a member of First Baptist Church. He married Dottie Cowan in 1940 at Lillie. She died in February. Survivors include four sons, Marcus Haralson of Kaufman, Julius Haralson of Chickasha, Okla., Tommy Haralson of Lubbock and Jerry Haralson of Wellington; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Miss Dewell was born in Wichita Falls. She moved to Perryton in 1988. She worked in the home health industry. For the past year she was a clerk for the GasMan station. Glen Elbert Mansfield SANFORD - Glen Elbert Mansfield, 65, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. He had lived in Borger for 22 years. He was a military policeman in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was an operator for Phillips Petroleum Co. and retired in 1993. He was a member of the Gardner St. Church of Christ. He married Bette Jo Perry in 1962 at Tucumcari, N.M. She died in 1991. Survivors include a sister, Lorene Ross of Rhome; two daughters, Charon Baker of Borger and Dixie Woods of Fritch; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Crook was born in Portales and was a lifelong resident of the area. She married Jim Crook in 1993 at Farwell, Texas. She was a homemaker. Mr. Leeder was born in Marlow, Okla., and moved to Melrose in 1942. He returned to Melrose in 1980 to live permanently. He was elected to the Village Council in Melrose in 1996. He married Thelma Watson in 1944. He was preceded in death by a son, Johnie Clayton Leeder. Calvin Stout GRADY, N.M. - Calvin Stout, 72, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in 21st Street Church of Christ at Clovis with Otho Rogers and Bob Martin officiating. Burial will be in Grady Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Stout was born in Grady. He was a longtime member of Broadview Church of Christ. He graduated from Grady High School in 1943 and married Roberta Reed in 1944. He had farmed and ranched in Grady most of his life. He served as Curry County Commissioner and on the Ned Houk Park Board from 1973 to 1976. He also was a member of the board of directors of the National Maine-Anjou Cattle Association and served on the Curry County Fair Board for six years. Mr. Stout served as a 4-H leader and assisted for numerous years with the annual Grady FFA Chicken Fry. He received the Farmers Union Builder award and was recognized by the governor and lieutenant governor of New Mexico with several honorary awards. He was a horseman and raised horses to compete in cutting and other rodeo events and was involved in quarter horse racing. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Janice Gardner and Jacqueline Davis, both of Clovis; four brothers, Dudley Stout and F.D. Stout, both of California, Victor Stout of Clovis and Billy Stout of Broadview; and two grandchildren. Mr. Scarbrough was born in Whitesboro and had lived in Amarillo since 1949. He worked for Santa Fe Railway as a buildings and bridges mechanic until retiring. He also had farmed for 12 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way, Hillcrest Baptist Church and had been ordained a deacon at the church in 1954. Survivors include his wife, Lura; a daughter, Carolyn South of Amarillo; a sister, Myrtle Lee Brindle of Strasburg, Pa.; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Ms. Taylor was born in Paris, Texas, and moved to Amarillo in 1969 from Colorado Springs, Colo. She also had lived in Fort Worth. While living in Fort Worth, she worked in fixed base operations at Meecham Field. In Amarillo, she was a title examiner for Chicago Title Co. and Stewart Title Co., retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Philamathic Society, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Survivors include three brothers, Roy Robert Taylor II of Dallas, Guy W. Taylor of Cranfills Gap, and Tim T. Taylor of Fredericksburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Glenwood Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Rick McElhannon officiating. Survivors include his wife; a son, Rick Granger of Amarillo; two daughters, Debra Novak and Sabrina Granger, both of Germany; a sister, Velma Frederick of Delphos; and one grandchild. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Church of Christ. She married Ivan Tucker in 1931 at Clarendon. Survivors include her husband; a son, Edwin L. Tucker of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Anna Faye Barton of Payette, Idaho; a brother, Floyd Crawfford of Amarillo; a sister, Hallie Whiddon of Amarillo; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sager was born in Beaver County. She was a housewife. She was a member of the Blue Mound Home Demonstration Club. She was a Baptist. She married Cecil E. Sager in 1941 at Perryton, Texas. He died in 1995. Survivors include her son, Dwayne Sager of Perryton; a brother, William Brown of Albany, Ore.; two sisters, Goldie Gregg of Beaver and Nora Bell Jones of Burton, Kan.; and two grandchildren. Frankie Wilson BRECKENRIDGE - Frankie Wilson, 79, a former Claude resident, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997. Services were at 9 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Miller and Jim Cox officiating. Graveside services were at 4 p.m. in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Tulia by Melton Funeral Home. Mrs. Wilson was born in Claude. She married Charles Calvin Wilson in 1938 at Claude. He died in 1977. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church and the Breckenridge Garden Club. Survivors include three sons, Charles Robert Wilson of Hixson, Tenn., James Lawrence Wilson of Livermore, Calif., and Richard Terry Wilson of Lawndale, Calif.; a sister, Mildred Blanton Vowell of Fort Worth; and four grandchildren. She was a charter member of Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo and a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo and First Baptist Church of Conroe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervie Marvin Thomas. Survivors include her daughter Jan Simmons of The Woodlands; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Harold R. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a postal clerk for the Paducah Post Office. He retired in 1990. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Baptist Church of Paducah. Mrs. Galvan was born in Eagle Pass. She moved to Earth in 1974. She was a homemaker and a member of the Littlefield Catholic Church. She married Eladio Galvan in 1947 at Eagle Pass. He died in 1968. Survivors include a son, Pablo Soto of Earth; two sisters, Elevorio Nino of Sanger, Calif., and Dora Flores of Littlefield; a brother, Lupe Flores of Earth; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
