Mrs. Mobley was born in Comanche and had lived in Hereford for 20 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Senior Citizens Association. She was a charter member of Frio Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.M. Mobley, in 1940; by a son, Austin Mobley, in 1977; and by a daughter, Nell Miller, in 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Margurite Cole of Hereford and Dorothy Reno of Midland; two sons, Raymond Mobley and Don Mobley, both of Farmington, N.M.; a sister, Opal Bentley of Monahans; a brother, J.W. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a mother / adviser for the Rainbow Girls. She married Van Henry Carter in 1919 at Pampa. He died in 1967. She had been a charter member of First Baptist Church for 81 years. She also was a charter member of the Wayside Club and a member of the Pampa Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include a son, H.B. She was a longtime resident of Quanah until 1994 when she moved to Lubbock due to illness. She married Price Hargesheimer in 1933. He died in 1984. She also was preceded in death by a son, Mackie Webb Hargesheimer, in 1939; and a daughter, Oma Gene Havins, in 1992. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Webster was born south of Erick and had lived in the Erick community all of his life. He attended Hibbard Elementary School. He had been a farmer, rancher and cattleman. Carrie Gum Jumper GUYMON, Okla. - Carrie Gum Jumper, 95, died Friday, Jan. 3, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Henson-Novak Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Odie Nunley, interim minister of First Baptist Church at Hardesty, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mrs. Jumper was born in Arkansas. She moved with her family to Texas County in 1906, where they settled in the Banner community. She married Elmer J. Gum in 1919 at Guymon, and they moved to Guymon from Hardesty in 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963. She married Robert Jumper in 1969; he died in 1970. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Ollie Gum, Vernon Gum and Leslie Gum. She was a member of Range Missionary Club and Guymon's No Man's Land Senior Citizens. She enjoyed bingo. Mrs. Paul was born in Oceola, Ky. She married Rupert Hume Paul in 1924 at Texico and they had farmed on their property at Clovis. They moved to Missouri in 1947, and she was preceded in death by her husband in 1948. She remained in Missouri for 12 years before moving back to Clovis. She attended Central Christian Church. Survivors include three daughters, Dorthy Harding of San Antonio, Texas, Eva Ann Graham of Plains, Texas, and Nita Nell Wilson of Clovis; two sons, George Thomas Paul of Joplin, Mo., and Jerry Paul of Clovis; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Charles W. Grimshaw TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Charles W. Grimshaw, 72, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller, of the church, officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Elida Cemetery at Elida by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Grimshaw was born in Elida and had been a longtime resident of Tucumcari. He had retired from Tucumcari Area Vocational School, where he was in charge of the vocational agricultural program. He had been the assistant principal at Tucumcari High School until 1978. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was also active in the Truckers Ministry and the Gideons. He was past president of Tucumcari Kiwanis Club, where he was past lieutenant governor. He was a member of Tucumcari Masonic Lodge No. 27 AF&AM and of the Eastern Star. He served during the Korean War with the Army. Survivors include his wife, Nino Jo Grimshaw; a daughter, Saundra Castillo of Las Cruces, N.M.; a son, Boyd Grimshaw of Pleasanton, Texas; two brothers, Than Grimshaw of Durham, N.C., and George Grimshaw of California City, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Starbuck CLOVIS, N.M. - Charles A. Starbuck, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997. No services are planned. The body will be cremated. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Starbuck was born in Harper County, Okla. He moved to Curry County in 1938, and had farmed and ranched in the Ranchvale and Claude communities for 55 years. He married Lola Mae Reid in 1940 at Ranchvale. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Oscar Starbuck of Irving, Texas, and Ray Starbuck and Jimmy Starbuck, both of Clovis; a daughter, Charlene Newsome of Marble Falls, Texas; a brother, Paul Lynn of Camarillo, Calif.; a sister, Thelma Hardin of Napa, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
