Don R. Anderson The Rev. Don R. Anderson, 78, of Amarillo, died Friday, Jan. 3, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Holly Chapel of First Baptist Church at Perryton with the Rev. Chester OıBrien, retired Baptist preacher, and the Rev. Ted Latham, pastor of First Baptist Church at Perryton, officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery at Perryton by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Perryton. Mr. Anderson was born in Panhandle and had lived in Lubbock until 1992 when he moved to Amarillo. He married Bell M. Wright in 1943 at Perryton; she died in 1989. He was a graduate of Howard Payne Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary at Fort Worth. He had pastored at Follett, Cheyenne, Okla., Cactus, Littleton, Colo., and Tightwad, Mo., and was regional manager for Franklin Life when he retired. He retired in 1985 as a minister of the Baptist Church. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Kayleen Canon of Plains; a brother, Robert Anderson of Panhandle; a sister, Mary Sue Wood of Happy; and two grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Muscular Dystrophy or a favorite charity. John Edward Rogers John Edward Rogers, 60, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the Rev. Dan Usaik, of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Rogers was born in Eldorado, Okla., and he attended school at Wheeler. He married Virginia Bond in 1957. He served in the Army and was employed by RCA Service Co. He moved back to the Texas Panhandle in 1964. He was employed at Pantex until he opened a television service center, which he owned and operated for 20 years. He retired in 1987. He was a home dialysis patient for 25 years. He served as president of Texas Charter of Texas Panhandle of National Kidney Foundation. Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Edward Rogers Jr. and Jeffery Rogers, both of Amarillo; and three brothers, L.W. John Arthur Green John Arthur Green, 53, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997. The body will not be available for viewing. Fred Owen Wilson Fred Owen Wilson, 92, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pecan Grove Cemetery at McKinney with the Rev. Tim Kettenring of Trinity Fellowship at Pampa and Keith Garner of Fort Worth officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Wilson was born in McKinney. He graduated from McKinney High School in 1922. He received his bachelorıs degree in 1929 from North Texas State Teachers College and his masterıs degree in 1932 from Austin College. He served as head of the English department at Hico for a year before becoming professor of English and history at Sherman for six years. In 1935, he joined Enjay Chemical Co., a division of Standard Oil, at New Jersey. He was assistant personnel director and later became safety engineer. He retired in 1969. He had lived in Baton Rouge, La., until 1989, when he moved to Breckenridge, where he had lived until moving to Amarillo in 1991. He had spent 50 years as a freelance writer and was published in Anthology of Magazine Verse, Voices of the Southwest, Poets of the Future, Tom-Tom, Contemporary Verse and Whoıs Who in America. He held memberships in Southwest Folklore Society, Makers, Poetry Society of Texas, National Safety Council, Louisiana Personnel Management Society and American Society of Safety Engineers. He also served on the Greater Baton Rouge Safety Council and the Louisiana Safety Council. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Wilson in 1982. Survivors include two daughters, Angeline Garner of Amarillo and Elizabeth Bellamy of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Wiggins was born in Prichett, Colo., attended school at Keyes and had lived in the Keyes area all of his life. He married Joan Cash in 1954 at Las Cruces, N.M. He was a member of Keyes United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, water skiing and flying remote-controlled airplanes. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Wiggins. John Warren Mac Dougall BOISE CITY, Okla. - John Warren Mac Dougall, 40, a former resident of Boise City, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, in Tucson, Ariz. He attended school at Galita, Kan., Hays, Kan.; Sunray, Texas; Dumas, Texas; Keyes; and Plainview, Okla. He was a welder and millwright and also worked in oil fields. He had worked in the Liberal, Kan., and Hugoton, Kan., areas, and moved to Arizona one year ago, where he did demolition work. He enjoyed horseback riding, playing pool and music. Bob Forrest CANADIAN - Bob Forrest, 82, a former Canadian resident, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997. He married Erma Mae Gilbert in 1934 at Canadian. He was a farmer and rancher in Hemphill County and former owner of Red Deer Feed Store. He also doctored cattle at H.C. Hitch Feed Yards at Guymon, Okla., and Garden City, Kan. He had served as public relations and general manager for Adcock and Prater and was a Hemphill county commissioner for 12 years. He was an elder of the Church of Christ. He was an active supporter of the Hemphill County Livestock Show and a member of the Lions Club and Rotary Club. He moved to Lubbock in 1991 and was a member of 12th Street Church of Christ at Shallowater. He married Ramah Lou Rippy in 1938 at Oklahoma City; she died in 1991. Andy Dietz officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Baldwin was born in Valentine to a pioneer family and moved to Hansford County as a teen. She attended Panhandle A&M at Goodwell, Okla., and graduated from West Texas State College at Canyon. She was a first-grade teacher at Elkhart, Kan., Taos, N.M., the Rafferty School, located south of Gruver, Okla., and had taught for 12 years at the Spring Creek School east of Borger. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.H. "Jimmy" Baldwin in 1987. Survivors include two nephews, Harold Ormon of Borger and Rex Ormon of Clovis, N.M.,; and several other nieces and nephews.
