Baker Dorothy D. Baker, 74, of Canyon, died Thursday, July 3, 1997, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in University Church of Christ with David Lough, pastor, officiating. Cremation is arranged by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Baker was born in Braggs, Okla. She graduated from Muskogee General High School. During World War II, she was a journeyman ship welder for Kiser Ship Yards in California. She married James E. "Gene'' Baker in 1944 at Reno, Nev. For the 12 years prior to settling in Canyon, she and her husband traveled around the United States. She moved to Canyon in 1994. She had been a member of the Church of Christ, and she spent the last several years working with the clothing ministry in the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sharon A. Baker of Fair Oaks, Calif., and Susan K. Lincoln of Anchorage, Alaska; a son, Arthur James Baker of Canyon; a sister, Doris Hill of Fort Gibson, Okla.; a brother, Joe Haley of Muskogee, Okla.; and a granddaughter. Oklahoma Leta Rupprecht ARNETT, Okla. - Leta Rupprecht, 82, died Thursday, July 3, 1997. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in United Methodist Church of Arnett with Dr. Jene Miller officiating. Burial was at DeBolt Cemetery. Arrangements were by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck. Mrs. Rupprecht was born in Lonetree Community of Ellis County. She attended school at Higgins and Shattuck, later graduating from high school at Perryton, Texas. She married Elmer Rupprecht in 1934 at Arnett. They made their home in Perryton until 1944, when they moved to Logan. They had lived in Follett, Texas, for a period of time until making their home at Arnett in 1951, where they had resided since. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Arnett, the Arnett Library Club and a lifetime member of the Women's Society of Christian Service, which is now known as the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mae Yvonne Miller. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Charles E. Rupprecht of Norman, and Walter C. Rupprecht of Jones; a brother, Vernon Price of Arnett; a sister, Jettie Luallen of Shreveport, La.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She had been a resident of Kermit for more than 50 years before moving to Muskogee in 1997. She was active as a Pink Lady for many years. She married Evans Dawson Henderson in 1930 at Hollis. He died in 1971. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Henderson, in 1938. Survivors include four sons, Riley D. Arrangements are by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mrs. Parker was born in Tupelo. She and her family came to the Boise City area in 1926. She graduated from the Boise City High School. She married Charles Parker in 1935 at Boise City. He preceded her in death. She had lived most of her life in Boise City, except when she and her husband moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., when her husband was in the service. She was a member of Boise City Christian Church. She was a past member of the HEO Club, the Helping Hands Club, the Licensed Practical Nurse Association and the MG Foundation. Franklin Theron Conrad Franklin Theron Conrad, 78, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 5, 1997. Services will be at a later date. Ural Gilbert Miller Ural Gilbert Miller, 76, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 5, 1997. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Mr. Miller was born in Sweetwater, Okla. He had been a resident of Amarillo for 48 years. He attended Stillwater A&M University for two years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a chemist and operator for Southwestern Public Service Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1982. He married Dama Dorothy Fish in 1943 at Beaver, Okla. He was a longtime member of North Amarillo Church of Christ, where he served as deacon in charge of benevolent work for more than 30 years. He and his wife were active in personal evangelism. They conducted Bible studies all over the United States. He was also involved in volunteer work for High Plains Children's Home and other children's homes, as well as working for the prison ministry. He was a member of the Golden Spread Gem and Mineral Club. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Faye Miller, in 1978. Serving with the First Cavalry Division, Troop A, as a corporal, he received the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, the American Defense Service Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal. He fought in battles in the southern Philippines, New Guinea, Luzon and Bismarck-Archipelago. He was a squad leader and an expert rifleman. He married Jean Dible in 1954 at Borger. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home Inc., of Dalhart. Mr. Cook was born in Hardeeville, S.C. He graduated from Hardeeville High School in 1934. He worked in highway construction and had his own heavy equipment company before joining the Army in 1942. During the war he was stationed in London, where he drove for Gen. Sewell and Col. Smith. He was stationed at Dalhart in 1944. He married Rebecca Weatherford in 1946 at Clayton, N.M. She died in 1992. After the war, he worked for the ice plant in the electric department at Dalhart. He also worked for the city of Dalhart for 30 years, retiring in 1976. He was also preceded in death by a son, James E. Cook. Survivors include two daughters, Lorene Cook Ballew of Dalhart, and Armetha Cook Heiskell of Amarillo; a son, J.W. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Monsignor Orville Blum officiating. Burial will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, north of Hereford. Mr. Kriegshauser was born in Thomas, Okla. He owned and operated Kriegshauser Dairy for over 40 years. He was a member of the AMPI Association of Milk Producers, Knights of Columbus and St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford. He married Emelene Albracht in 1940 at Hereford. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Gary, John, Ben and Randy Kriegshauser, all of Hereford; three daughters, Judy Cloud of Hereford, Deanna Walsh of Lubbock, and Mary Jane Cairns of Amarillo; a sister, Bernice Ellison of Moline, Ill.; two brothers, James Kriegshauser of Peoria, Ill., and Dean Kriegshauser of Clovis, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to St. Anthony's Endowment Fund in Hereford. Dora Belle Perkins SILVERTON - Dora Belle Perkins, 78, died Friday, July 4, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Silverton Cemetery with the Rev. Jess Little, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Silverton. Mrs. Perkins was born in Frederick, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married A.M. "Ott'' Perkins in 1934 at Silverton. He died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, Leonard Martin Perkins, and twins, Leland Claude Perkins and Ruby Leola Perkins. Survivors include three sons, Donnie L. Perkins of Silverton, Jerry D. Perkins of Atlanta, and Jim L. Perkins of Amarillo; a daughter, Millie Roberts of Silverton; two brothers, Loney Stout and Charley Ralph McLeland, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Rose Miller of Amarillo, and Beatrice Fry of Riverton, Wyo.; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
