Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center's Rose Chapel. The body was cremated. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Ms. Krause was born in Kansas City, Mo. She lived in Tulsa, Okla., for 37 years and in New York City for five years, where she was a federal employee before retiring. She moved to Amarillo in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Lesli Krause Groves of Amarillo; three brothers, Henry Cicutto of Colorado Springs, Colo., Calvin Cicutto of Kansas City, Kan., and Johnny Cicutto of Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Jo Waller of Kansas City, Mo. The family suggests memorials be to the American Quarter Horse Association. Sam Gaither Sam Gaither, 84, of Amarillo, died Monday, March 3, 1997. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. B.F. Roberts Jr., pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St. Mr. Gaither was born in Atlanta, Texas, and attended public schools there. He was a retired truck driver, a veteran of World War II and a Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Dockins of Oakland, Calif.; a son, Charles Gaither of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Johnny L. Gaither of Atlanta, Texas; and four nieces and nephews, Mammie Bailey, Wilma Brown, Mary Lockhart and Lonnie Gaither, all of Amarillo. The family will be at 2501 Thorne St. The body will be available for viewing at the cemetery before services. Elwanda Bond Elwanda Bond, 69, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997. Mrs. Bond was born in Hollis, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since 1960. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married Reid A. Bond in 1950 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Reida Morren of Amarillo; a son, David L. Bond of Fairfield; three sisters, Jermie Smith of Fort Worth, and Yvonne Morris and Neta Sisk, both of Lone Wolf, Okla.; and two grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Robert Lee Lewis Robert Lee Lewis, 80, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997. Mr. Lewis was born in Hollis, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1945 from Hollis. He was a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service and attended Central Church of Christ. He was an Air Force veteran. He married Frances Crawford in 1948 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Whitaker of Amarillo and Karen Hayes of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Ed Lewis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 2324 Lakeview Drive, Amarillo, Texas 79109. Matthew James Lowe Matthew James Lowe, 18, of Amarillo, died Monday, March 3, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with John C. Hunt, bishop, officiating. He became an Eagle Scout in 1994 and graduated from River Road High School in 1996. He was a telemarketer for Sitel Corp. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark Anthony Lowe in 1980 and Byrum Allen Lowe in 1982. Survivors include his parents, David and Suzanne Lowe of Amarillo; three brothers, Benjamin Thomas Lowe and Joshua Caleb Lowe, both of the home, and Phillip Alexander Lowe; a sister, Cassandra Mikheal Lowe; grandparents, Allen and Helen Lowe of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and James and Eunice Pace of Salt Lake City; and two great-grandfathers, Ona H. Kanniard of Delaware, Ohio, and Levi Wilson Pace of Salt Lake City. Sandra Farrington Sandra Farrington, 56, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997. She moved to Amarillo 16 years ago and had been a housekeeper at Amarillo Nursing Center and Olsen Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Baptist church in Ottumwa. Oklahoma Geraldine Sanders BOISE CITY, Okla. - Geraldine "Gerry" Sanders, 70, died Monday, March 3, 1997. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church with J. Robb Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in Boise City Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary. Mrs. Sanders was born in Frisco. She married William V. Sanders in 1956. They lived in the Boise City community. She was a longtime employee of Looney Drug until it closed. She recently was a librarian at Soutar Memorial Library. She attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; and two children, Jerilynn Ross and Joseph David Sanders. Survivors include her mother, Lillian Crites of Boise City; two sisters, Shirley Parrish of Garland, Texas, and Wilma Rothman of Springfield, Colo.; four sons, Weldon Russell and Jefferson William Sanders, both of Boise City, David Lee Sanders of Houston and James Roy Sanders of Sayre, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He married Gladys Eugene Mathis in 1925 at Old Hansford. She died in 1993. He also was preceded in death by two daughters, Archie Mae Crumpton Coburn in 1978 and Lela Lois Crumpton Evans in 1991; and a son, Glenn Dale Crumpton, in 1940. Survivors include three sons, Eldon E. Crumpton of Abilene, A.V. "Pete" Crumpton Jr. of Texline and Robert A. Crumpton of Clayton; three daughters, Bettie J. Crumpton Damon and Dorothy L. He moved to Pampa in 1939 and was a signal maintainer for the railroad. He was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of Pampa First Presbyterian Church. He married Loretta Hunter in 1930 at Woodward, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna Gracey of Lady Lake, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Zella Hamby MIAMI, Texas - Zella Hamby, 54, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wes Wellborn, pastor, and the Rev. Daniel Moore, pastor of United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Hamby was born in Shamrock and had lived in Miami for 33 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Miami First Baptist Church. She married Dick Hamby in 1961 at Wellington. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Tony Hamby of Carrizozo, N.M., and Darrel Hamby of Lewiston, Maine; a daughter, Wendy Weston of Delta, Colo.; five sisters, Dorothy Stoner, Barbara Hill and Eulene Allen, all of Shamrock, Pearl Newkirk of Amarillo and Delores Gibson of Amherst; two brothers, Cotton Seymour of Fort Worth and Jack Seymour of Texas City; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Glenn Gipson PLAINVIEW - Glenn Gipson, 71, of Brownwood, formerly of Plainview, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Glen E. Godsey, associate pastor of Iglesia Bautista Date Street, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Mr. Gipson was born and raised in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. He married Zada Cooper in 1947 at Olton. She died in 1996. He served in the Navy from 1945 until 1947. He farmed in Olton and Lockney for 18 years. He worked for the state of Kansas for 19 years before retiring in 1987. He moved to Olton and then to Brownwood in 1995. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Olton. Survivors include a daughter, Paula Bovee of Yuma, Ariz.; a son, Pete Gipson of Brownwood; two sisters, Evolda Collis and Nelda Gorman; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Mrs. James was born in McLean and graduated from Spearman High School. She married H.L. "Red" James in 1957 at Spearman. They moved to Canadian in 1972 from Spearman. She was a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by a son, Andy Lee James, in 1983. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Peggy Veneklasen of Amarillo; her father, J. Henry Maxwell of Okmulgee, Okla.; and four grandchildren. Mr. Patterson was born in Fort Hood. He was raised in Plainview and attended Plainview High School, where he was active in the band. He attended Eastern New Mexico University. He married Kelly Wynn Smith in 1994 at Las Vegas. He was an electrician and was active in health clubs. He moved to Lubbock in 1985 and to Albuquerque in 1996. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kelsey Patterson of the home; a son, Chase Patterson of the home; his parents, Glenn and Theresia Patterson of Plainview; four sisters, Dorothy Hunt and Angelia Vega, both of Odessa, Gabriele Raulston of Plainview and Elizabeth Harris of Lawton, Okla.; and a brother, Larry Patterson of Aurora, Colo. Clinton Keith Mann CLARENDON - Clinton Keith Mann, 51, of Austin, a former Hedley resident, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Citizens Cemetery with Bright Newhouse, minister of the Hedley Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors Inc. Mr. Mann was born in Hedley and was a longtime Hedley resident until moving to Austin more than 20 years ago. He was a supervisor with the Texas Employment Commission in Austin. He had served in the Air Force and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two brothers, Preston Mann of Amarillo and Carl Mann of Pampa. Ethelyne Baxter SHAMROCK - Ethelyne Ribble Baxter, 84, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Scott, vicar of St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church, and Cottie Tarbet of Shamrock officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Baxter was born near Blanket and moved to the Shamrock area in 1928. She married Robert Lee Baxter Jr. in 1933 at Shamrock. They farmed and ranched near the Dozier community for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973; a son, Robert Lee Baxter III, in 1984; and an infant son. She owned and operated Wheeler County Credit Bureau for many years and was active with many organizations in the Samnorwood school system. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the 1935 Forum Club. She was a former member of the Priscilla Club. Survivors include a son, Ken Baxter of Shamrock; a brother, Sam Ribble of Lubbock; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. Helen Webb Black McLEAN - Helen Webb Black, 91, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Deport. Arrangements are by Lamb-Ferguson Funeral Home. Mrs. Black was born in Deport. She married Robert Black in 1925 at Deport. He died in 1969. She moved to McLean in 1927 from Blossom. She taught primary school for two years after moving to McLean. She also worked for the McLean News, writing a weekly column that began in 1950. Survivors include a daughter, Jan Edwards of Albuquerque, N.M.; a son, Bob Black of McLean; a sister, Ruth Haberle of Jacksonville; a brother, Mac Webb of Deport; four grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.
