Runcie Daniel A. "Dan'' Runcie, 46, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Inc., Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Rick D. Mathis, minister of West Amarillo Christian Church, officiating. Private inurnment will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Runcie was born in Chicago. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1969. He was self-employed in Albuquerque, N.M., for several years before returning to Amarillo in 1995. Survivors include two sisters and a brother. The family request memorials be to the Amarillo Humane Society or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The body will not be available for viewing. B.J. Swarm B.J. Swarm, 18, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997. There will be no services. Arrangements were by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mr. Swarm was born in Amarillo. He attended Palo Duro High School. Survivors include his mother, Brenda Swarm; his father, Bill Swarm; a sister, Rhonda Swarm; and two stepbrothers, Eugene Watson and Michael Watson. James Patrick Hogan James Patrick Hogan, 78, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Windell Taylor, chaplain at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Hogan was born in Foss, Okla. He married Mona C. Meier in 1978 at Canyon. He was a line driver and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Teamsters and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Clayton, in 1991. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jimmie Patrick Hogan of Waxahachie, David Starnes of Fort Worth, James Patrick Starnes of Overton, Nev., and Timothy A. Starnes of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Barbara K. Greene of Red Oak; two brothers, Ray Hogan of Amarillo and Henry Hogan of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a sister, Mary Kimbrough of Rock Port; six grandsons; and 12 great-grandchildren. Survivors include a son, David Lee Weatherly of Amarillo; two daughters, Justin Weatherly of Mesa, Ariz., and Patricia Cossey of Amarillo; a brother, Lee Weatherly of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. Leveta F. Matthews Leveta F. Matthews, 73, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997. Mrs. Matthews was born in Wright City, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1970 from Hereford. She married A.J. "Pete'' Matthews in 1943 at Clarendon. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Matthews was a homemaker and a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include a son, Andrew A. "Buddy'' Matthews of Amarillo; three daughters, Pamela Pauline LaFrance of Pasadena, and Helen Earley and Diane Denton, both of Amarillo; a brother, Jimmie Flowers of Amarillo; four sisters, Odessa Matthews of Borger, Ceola McKay of Umbarger, Ann Wilson of Amarillo and Letha Long of Aspermont; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will be at 814 S. Prospect St. Oklahoma Billie Jean Whalin SILO, Okla. - Billie Jean Whalin, 58, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1997, in Denison, Texas. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home Chapel at Durant with the Rev. Jim Toland officiating. Burial will be in Silo Cemetery. Mrs. Whalin was born in Miller, Mo. She moved to Silo in 1993 from Muleshoe, Texas. She graduated from high school at Morton, Texas. She married Herbert H. Whalin in 1961 at Lovington, N.M. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Randall Whalin of Amarillo, Sam Whalin and Perry Whalin, both of Muleshoe, and Chris Whalin of the home; a daughter, Debbie Hammer of Muleshoe; a brother, Earl Doyle of Bonham, Texas; two sisters, Betty Iones of Chico, Texas, and Dorothy Woolsey of Merkel, Texas; and nine grandchildren. New Mexico Frankie Glen CLOVIS, N.M. - Frankie Glen, 64, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Sylskar officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Glen was born in Flagg, Texas, and had been a longtime resident of Clovis. She was a parts manager at John Deere Equipment Co. for 22 years. She moved to Tucumcari in 1983. She was the owner of Glen's Farm Supply at the time of her death. She was a member of the Tucumcari Women's Bowling Team and Glen's Deere Bowling Team. She married Bill Glen in 1976 at Clovis. Survivors include her husband; seven children, Ben Littlejohn of Stamford, Texas, Shirie Wallace of Reno, Nev., Bobby Littlejohn and Kyle Glen, both of Clovis, Sue Anne Valencia of Green River, Wyo., Peggy Lee of Mexia, Texas, and Donna Longoria of Jourdanton, Texas; brothers and sisters, J.C. Miller of Sun City, Ariz., Cleo Qualls and Pauline Davis, both of Clovis, Shannon Perkins of Dumas, Texas, and Richard Miller of Ranchvale; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Area Tommie Roy PAMPA - Tommie Roy, 80, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1997, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Delbert White, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Roy was born in Blue, Okla., and had lived in Pampa most of his life. He was a member of the International Union of Operators and Engineers. He married Pauline Perkins in 1937 at Durant, Okla. She died in 1986. He also was preceded in death by a son, David Paul Roy, in 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Betty McPherson of Pampa; three sons, Don Roy of Columbia, S.C., Tommie Gerald Roy of Lancaster and Billy Gene Roy of Arlington; a sister, Alta DuBoise of Durant; nine grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Moorewood Baptist Church in Moorewood, Okla., with Rev. Joe G. Jernigan, pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Patton married Hazel J. Ramsey in 1942. They lived in Moorewood for 13 years and later moved to Kiowa, Kan., where they spent the next 20 years. In 1978, they moved to Woodward, Okla., and lived there until March, when they moved to Shamrock. Mr. Patton was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ron Patton of Shamrock, Bob Patton of Cheney, Kan., and J.C. Patton Jr. of Woodward; three daughters, Hazel Hendrix of Hutchinson, Kan., Virginia Saldana of Austin and Patti Hager of Liberal, Kan.; a brother, Robert Patton of Skiatook, Okla.; two sisters, Lorena Kincaid of Clinton, Okla., and Lula Bray of Leedey, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Robbie Catherine Wilson MCLEAN - Robbie Catherine Wilson, 96, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Lamb Funeral Home. Mrs. Wilson was born in Indian Territory and moved to McLean in 1906. She married Homer Wilson in 1921 at McLean. He preceded her in death. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Marion Spear of Golden, Colo., Anna Norton of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Grace Glenn of McLean; three sons, Robert H. Wilson of Lynchburg, Va., David Wilson of Kingswood and Joel T. Wilson of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
